It was a nice hotel and the staff was friendly and helpful. My only issue was the travel to and from Boston. It is right across the river from the city, but it is a 30 minute/ $20-25 cab ride each way. If you are intending to be in Boston, I recommend finding a hotel in Boston.

Exceptional hotel with warm and welcoming staff

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Pros: Breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Option of Sunday New York Times at the front desk for guests.
Location: Close to everything dear to us. We could bike most everywhere.
My daughter and I stayed at the hotel during a college visit to Boston. Our visit coincided with the Head of the Charles which was a plus because the vistas from the lobby, room and on any floor you stayed allowed guests to enjoy the regatta sights. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The shuttle to and from Harvard and Kendal Square was a plus, no parking or driving headaches.

Convenient

Posted 17-Oct-2014
Pros: Room with a large private balcony.
Location: MIT is adjacent to the hotel and there are several restaurants within 1 mile.
It's an easy walk (2 miles) to the mall, but the hotel provides a shuttle both ways. That is very convenient.

The hotel is older and looks it. High priced room that didn't look any better than a motel 6

Good hotel in Cambridge, free shuttle.

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: A complimentary fridge in the room. the room size
Cons: The reception area could be improved by removing carpets and revamped with a more modern look. There was no clock in the room!
I chose this hotel in Cambridge to get a view of the Charles and Boston. My expectations were met on all points.. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. We enjoyed a dip in the olympic sized pool. We used the free shuttle service twice a day..Even the cold breakfast buffet was reasonable.

Concert Stay

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: I liked the hotel staff and the food. The bed was perfect and the room smelled clean.
Cons: The lobby chairs looked dated and in need of some TLC.
Location: The hotel was near the Agganis Arena and believe it or not the Fanway Park too. The view was amazing!
The hotel was very close to most of the city attraction. Very easy to find and cheap rooms. Found out that the artist that I was going to see that night was staying at the same hotel as us. It was pretty cool.

Old style hotel partially renovated.

Posted 13-Oct-2014
Pros: Confortable bed.
Cons: Bings from elevator could be heard in the room. Lower the volume.
Location: Not as close to Harvard Square as I had hoped.
Breakfast at 9:00 am Sunday morning was very disappointing. There was a short line at entrance, but the hostess told me there would be a 15 minute wait to be seated at a table. Many tables were empty, but dirty dishes were piled on the tables. There were few if any waiters for service.

Nice hotel.

Nice hotel, clean, modern, friendly staff. Slightly annoying that for the price you pay there is no free internet (not even in the lobby) but otherwise really happy.
