Very clean, convenient location.

Posted 4-May-2015
Pros: Clean and the location is very convenient to go to places.
Cons: Needs a table for the least.
Location: Shopping, restaurants and museums.
The hotel is in a building that was built in 1929. It was at one time a YWCA facility. Upon arrival at the door via taxi, I was nervous about it. The lobby can also use some update. However, it is very clean and the staff are pleasant. The room was small without closet, desk or table. I mention this to the front desk and I was advised that I should request one room with a table/desk next time. Also, after the first night, the cleaning lady did not remove the coffee bag from the coffee maker and did not leave me new coffee packets. I spoke with the front desk. I was told that the cleaning lady does not remove used coffee bag in the coffee maker until the guest is checked out. This is very strange. The front desk did give me two free coffee. There is a lounge outside the hotel rooms on my floor where you can get k cup coffee for free, but is not convenient in the morning.

Less expensive option downtown Boston

Posted 3-May-2015
Pros: Location and price
Location: A city block from Boylston street, green line T very close.
Family visit to Boston. Stayed for 5 nights. Got upgraded to a suite with a kitchenette. Facilities ok, great location. Very reasonably priced.

Friendly staff, cramped quarters

The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was pretty small, shower even smaller. But everything was clean and functional! Good location.

Comfortable hotel in a convenient location.

Posted 25-Apr-2015
Pros: Helpful staff and central location.
Location: Very close to Back Bay Railway Station, restaurants, museums and the Freedom Trail
My husband and I innocently arrived during the running of the Boston Marathon, I assume the hotel was full and that is why our quite expensive room was comfortable but very small.

Perfect location for marathon weekend.

Posted 21-Apr-2015
Comfortable room. Extremely quiet. The room had all the facilities I needed, including a nice touch from management of water, bananas and cereal bars. Really welcome as a late check in and jetlag prevented me going anywhere else. I was travelling alone and the room was perfect. If I had been in a couple, maybe the room would have felt a little small. Excellent base for visiting the marathon expo and getting back to from the finish line. Good location for sightseeing in the city.

Great location, nice room and nice staff

Posted 19-Apr-2015
We stayed at this hotel the second week of April, the stay was an absolute pleasure. The staff was really nice, check-in and check-out was a breeze. The complimentary Wifi was great. The location is great, in walking distance to so many things! We almost walked the entire trip to where we needed to be. 20 miles in 2 days. And when check-out time came, the hotel offered to hold on to our bags until we needed to leave for the airport.

Pros: well located
Hotel was located close to the Boston Common, and the walk there was nice. Also located near a train station, which is VERY convenient. The room I stayed in was small, but had everything I needed. I liked it very much. The people there were nice and helpful.
