“Very Nice Stay!”

A very pleasant experience. Room was very clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. As others have stated the room is small but we found it comfortable enough as we only needed to sleep and shower and head out for the day! Hotel also great location for walking to shopping and sightseeing.

“Outstanding!”

Outstanding staff. They were genuinely concerned about us during the horrific events that unfolded throughout our stay during the 117th Boston Marathon. I was greeted by a huge hug from 'Rebecca', when I returned safely from the Boston marathon. She also comforted my spouse while he hoped for my safe return I can't say enough about the staff. The hotel was awesome. It really is a hidden gem! I would definitely stay there again.

“Great Location and Simple Rooms”

The room was small but clean. Bathroom was very clean. Husband wasn't impressed with the room but the rate was pretty cheap and the location was fantastic. We walked pretty much everywhere given the central location. Would I go back? Probably if the rate and location couldn't be beat.

“Good Value in the Heart of Boston”

If you are planning a trip to Boston, and don't intend to be lounging around your hotel room all the time while there, this is a good value for a hotel. Great location right in the heart of Copley Square; you can walk to almost all of thre major attractions in the inner city. I do not understand the past complaints about the shower; my room had a huge bathroom with full shower and bath. The room was immaculately clean and very quiet for the location. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here and would do so myself again.

“Great location, great price, good hotel”

Hotel 140 is ideally located for pretty much any activity in Boston. Located in Back Bay, it's within walking distance to the Copley Place convention centre area, Beacon Hill, Boston Common and Fenway. It's close to stations on two subway lines. There are many restaurants and shops close-by. And it's the cheapest hotel I could find in the area! The hotel is very clean as it underwent a recent reovation. My room was very clean but a little small. But I wasn't there to stay in my hotel room and for one person it was sufficient. Complimentary high speed internet (not wireless) was great, a nice TV, clean washroom, big bed, and prompt maid service. The cafe in the hotel is good for a quick bite, although I didn't partake in the complimentary breakfast. The hotel is right beside a Dunkin' Donuts too, for those addicted to coffee! The front desk staff weren't the most pleasant people, but I didn't have to deal with them except to check in and out. For the price, location and overall cleanliness of this hotel, I would highly recommend it.

“the room”

The shower jet was very poor. Lacked extra blanket. No breakfast for the price. Otherwise, everything else was great. Nice room, lovely and warm.

“Perfect Location!”

Rooms were small..But clean and who stays in the room.?..This is a perfect location! Walked to Cheers,Boston Commons, shopping and to Charles Theater to see Blue Man Group. Staff were Great! They printed out walking directions for anywhere we were going. There is a Dunkin donuts in the same building and a starbucks accross the street. Restauraunts all close by. Parking right next door and the turnpike to get out of town is literally right beside the Hotel.

“Great Location”

This hotel was a great location. Walking distance to everything including the train just 5min walk as well as buses everywhere. Not that you would have to tranist everywhere. When i stayed i walked everywhere thats how close everything i wanted and needed was. For the price this hotel was great. Nice beds and great bathrooms. I mean after all... you just sleep in the room anyways. The breakfast was not exactly the best as all you get for complimentary was a muffin and small drink. if you want hot food you have to wait in line as it is busy with locals. Great area in the Back bay district of Boston. Loved it. Save some money and take a cab to the Long Wharf and take a shuttle boat to the airport.

“satisfactory hotel”

Given that cheap is impossible to find, this hotel was relatively cheap. Smelled a little, and the streets around the location didn't feel very safe (though i'm sure it was). The room was fine, there was breakfast, air conditioning worked. No serious complaints.
