Nice but small hotel...

Posted 15-Apr-2014
Pros: Location, Beautiful Hotel
Cons: I would offer some kind of free breakfast option for paying guests. The restaurant there has some things, but not a wide variety.
Location: Lots of restaurants, the T
When booking, I did not see a whole list of fees which brought the hotel up to about 100 more than expected. So, that was disappointing as well. Also, usually most hotels (that I have been to at least) do not charge you wen you first walk in. They charge your card the day you leave. That was not the case here. The room was so much smaller than expected but luckily we were not staying in the room much. Unfortunately, it was so small that there was a pretty small standing shower (no tub) which made it very difficult to shave my legs! There was a lot to do in the area and it was walking distance to the T so that was very nice as we needed to be at the Convention Center while we were there. There was not a breakfast offered to the guests but there was a restaurant in which you could purchase something to eat. One odd thing that happened: while we were packing our stuff, we looked under the bed to make sure we got everything. There was a shirt under there that wasn't ours. The room was VERY clean besides that. I have already started planning my trip to Boston for March and I will not be staying here again. I have chosen somewhere that is a little cheaper and has a larger room because it will be nice not to run into my boyfriend when I am walking around :)

Almost there

Posted 25-Mar-2014
Pros: Location was excellent, staff nice and the appointments were fine.
Cons: The facial tissues could sand down wood. The toilet tissue was of equal poor quality.
Location: Excellent, close and convenient to everything in Back Bay and short taxi ride (or T ride) to the financial district.
Room was quite compact but fine for one person. That would be the limit to the number of people in the room. The room was comfortable except for the small items like the facial tissues (I had a cold) but overall quality was good for the price point.

Good price for Boston, but don't expect too much

Average hotel near Prudential Center, close to activities. Hotel has no workout facilities or breakfast room, which was advertised, it is being redone. Very small rooms but we were there for the city, not the hotel room. Staff was lovely though.

Excellent hotel in a very central location

Posted 19-Mar-2014
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Safe facilities in room would be a bonus
Location: Shopping malls/church/restaurants/bars/park
Hotel is close to shopping mall/restaurants/bars in a very central location Boston is easy enough to walk around on foot but a tube station is right around the corner staff were very helpful with any questions we asked the only downside is there are no safe facilities in the rooms but we were upgraded from a queen bedroom to a king for no extra price

Back Bay on the cheap and easy

Posted 24-Feb-2014
This gem of a hotel in the heart of Back Bay (I say, literally, as this hotel is equidistant from the Back Bay station and Copley square. It's surrounded by great spots for food and drink and convenient to just about any other place work going in the Boston proper area. I've stayed at this hotel a few times and I've always been impressed with the staff's demeanor and helpfulness. The rooms, though small, are quite nice, and really... how much time is spent in a hotel room anyway? This has now officially become my go-to hotel when I stay in the Boston area.

Location was unbeatable!

Posted 21-Feb-2014
Pros: Location was amazing for half the price of the bigger hotels nearby.
Cons: My neighbor in the adjacent room had a late night that they brought back to their room. It was only 30 mins but enough to wake me up and keep me up.
Location: Two shopping malls and Newbury Street mall two streets away. Walkable (a mile away) to so many attractions like Back Bay Fens Park, and Boston Commons
Small functional room with a queen size bed and all the amenities (i.e. hair dryer, small fridge, iron, soaps/shampoo). Half block from the orange line Back Bay station and 2 blocks from green line station. Walkable to many attractions like the Library, Boston Commons, even Chinatown.
