“New Rooms! Great value!”
I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the cambridge area, the price was very cheap compare to other hotels close by. They were in the process of renovating the rooms during my stay, I was extremely pleased with the modern styling and comfort. The room was above and beyond what I would expect from a holiday inn express. They are on the small side so I would not recommend this place for families, but for myself the room size was perfect. The front desk staff is more than happy to call a cab for you anytime (about a $7 cab ride to the MIT vicinity). So forget the Marriot, save $100 a night and stay at the Holiday inn!
“Wonderful Hotel for the Money”
This was my first trip to Boston. I was there on business. The staff at the hotel were all extremely nice and helpful! Even with the remodeling going on, all of the staff had positive attitudes and were very gracious.
“Great location = great hotel.”
The best attribute of this hotel is its location (assuming you're not looking for spectacular views of Boston). It is adjacent to Twin City Plaza, a small shopping area with a McDonalds, a supermarket (open till late), a Marshalls, and a variety of other useful stores. It is also within walking distance to Lechmere station and the Cambridgeside Galleria. There is free parking at the back of the hotel and the residential area in and around the hotel is safe and quiet. I generally walk to/from Kendall Square for work in under half an hour. I have essentially stayed in each type of room available - both on the O'brien Hwy side and the back, and noise has not been an issue. At the time of writing (March 2012), renovations to the the hotel were almost complete, so the rooms and lobby area have had a nice up-lift. The rooms have coffee making facilities, a microwave oven, a fridge and a iron+ironing board. The breakfast that is included is good and is a great bonus considering the price level of this hotel. I have stayed at many other hotels in the Cambridge area, and most are fancier and generally have better views. However, the price and convenient location of this hotel more than compensate in my opinion.
“Perfect”
The room was spotless, modern decorations, comfy. Breakfast was just ok but had plenty of choices, eggs, toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. Perfect location. A few blocks from Boston Museum of Science and less than a block from the T. Would definitely stay here again. Not the prettiest area but felt very safe walking back at night from the station.
“Best Value! Great Amenities!”
It will be hard to find another hotel in the Boston area that provides better value. This hotel is reasonably priced, has free parking, is 2 blocks from a main metro line, provides free breakfast, and is incerdibly clean.

staff were very friendly. Breakfast had lots of variety and was very good.

Vacances avec deux enfants ( 14 et 10 ans ) , cette hôtel est très bien situé , 5 min. a pied du métro et 20 a 30 min a pied du TD Garden. Le cartier est sécuritaire même tard le soir. Les chambre étaient bien et propre. Le petit déjeuner qui était inclus était vraiment bien pour un déjeuner continental et le stationnement est inclus dans le prix. Hôtel idéal pour quelqu'un qui veut visiter la ville sans avoir a prendre son auto.

“Best value-Period.”
We needed to stay overnight with two of our kids for a program at MIT. The hotel is located very conveniently near MIT and it was clean and economical. Given everything, it was the best value in town. Nothing fancy, but overall meets the key basic criteria of hotel stay and would highly recommend.
“Convenient to MIT and Boston transit”
Stayed here to meet my son while studying at MIT. Reasonable walk to MIT. Also easy to catch subway into Boston or airport. Would stay here again.
