"classy hotel next to the commons"
When we checked in, he asked if we minded a room at the end of the hall on the 9th floor. Since we were checking in early after a red eye flight we were just happy to have a room and said sure. The room was quite small but beautiful and had a small but very clean bathroom--great towels and linens. I loved that the doors, knobs, moldings, etc. were old but very well maintained. I would definitely stay there again, especially at the reduced rate we received.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Colonial Inn. The room was cozy. If you are looking for a larger more modern hotel you should stay at the Best Western across the street from the Prison. The history behind the Inn was so interesting. Everyone who worked at the Inn was very happy and pleasant to interact with.

"Great hotel!"
Amazing experience. Super high class and clean. Close to everything on Newbury and Back Bay. They only have full sized beds. No double beds in any of the rooms. Highly recommend

"Nice hotel in the heart of downtown"
The rooms were very nice, the beds were fabulous and the staff was nice. This is a great hotel in walking distance of the aquarium, Faneuil Hall, and other north end attractions.

"Nice hotel just off the freedom trail!"
Well located hotel with parking just 2 blocks away. Has restaurants and shops nearby and is just off the freedom trail! The man at the desk (I'm awful with names!) was so helpful, knew everything about the hotel and the surrounding area and was a lovely man.

"WONDERFUL PLACe"
For years I have always stayed at Omni in boston - this year went with friends and I needed a two bedroom suite. This place was wonderful! Highly recommend. We plan on staying there again in summer. Just my husband and I. Went with 7 people- 4 adults - 3 young kids and we all loved it. Early check in- helpful with directions. Cab station right there. At 12-1am one of kids got sick and had to be taken to ER -- they helped get ambulance and was very resepectful and concerned for the little girl ( everything was fine by the way) I am beyond pleased with the hotel and beautiful location right on the water. You will not be disappointed.

"Great City hotel!"
The Taj Boston is great if you're looking for helpful, kind and professional staff. The hotel probably has the best location in Boston, as it is right next to a beautiful park and it's right in the centre of Boston. The Taj is also very close to a shopping district, and lots of historical buildings to fit your interests. In short, I highly recommend this wonderful and charming city hotel.

"Quirky, original hotel"
Friendly, welcoming staff. I couldn't attend the wine reception (but wish I could have). Rooms are comfortable with some nice touches (a cocktail shaker!). Good quality for the price and very central in Downtown Boston, just next to the Common.

Make your own mark on Boston’s history by staying in a hotel with a colourful past.

You can’t walk a block in Boston without tripping over something historically significant. Make the most of this and head over to the Freedom Trail, where you’ll wind through over 3 km of downtown Boston and see prominent items like the USS Constitution (one of the six original frigates of the United States Navy) and the Paul Revere House (where he was living before making his dramatic ride). Following that, you can head to the waterfront to explore the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, and you can actually experience the Boston Tea Party via actors, use of holograms, and yes, several replicas of the merchant vessels that transported the tea.

After an exciting day of taking in the local history, stop by your hotel to relax and catch your breath. A number of hotels in the Boston area are historical buildings themselves; some of them constructed over a century ago. When you stay at a historic hotel in Boston, you’ll enjoy all the modern amenities tucked into a classic shell. Take your meals in a Victorian-styled restaurant, or explore the unique bedrooms at an older bed and breakfast.

When you book with Expedia.ca, you’ll have access to the best hotels in Boston. It doesn’t matter whether you want to stay in a historic building or a swanky new locale; we’ll unearth the top rooms and suites at rates that won’t make your pocketbook want to jump overboard. Now that’s what we call historic savings.
