Excellent Budget Hotel In the Center of Bordeaux!Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, location, location!
Location: It's in downtown Bordeaux, so I'd recommend just walking around and checking out the city.
This hotel was perfect for us. The price was very low, the front desk was extremely nice, the room, while small, was completely sufficient for our needs, and it was right in the center of Bordeaux! The location can't be beat. Wish we had stayed another night.

Wonderful location, basic facilities, loved it.Posted 9-May-2014
Pros: Location fabulous. wifi in room.
Location: It's the best location ever for a budget hotel. tourist office, taxi stand, walk to most things- waterside, galleries, shops, buses, trams, hire bikes
Slap bang in the middle of things. Close to tourist centre, buses, trams, bikes, shops, restaurants, galleries. Opposite the Grand Hotel, next to the Grand Theatre. The smaller sister hotel to Les Quatre Soeurs Hotel. You book in there and then pop around the corner to the Hotel Opera. We had room 31 which had a balcony with view of main square. A bit of street noise from people at night but not alot. Take earplugs if you need to. Room small and poky but not a problem for us. Bed firm but comfy. Wifi in room. Would stay there again without a doubt. Room also has full length mirror which is good when you are travelling.

I could not have selected a better hotel. Every aspect of this hotel was very positive. I could not find any negatives to speak of. Would recommend this hotel to any person or group.

Hotel De L'Opera - perfect locationPosted 1-Nov-2011 on Hotels.com
As stated by other reviews we had to collect our key from the hotel around the corner to this hotel - no problem at all. Our room was on the third floor. It was spotlessly clean and basic. We had a small balcony that we could stand out on and we were looking directly across at the Opera House. If you want a hotel that is the perfect location for walking around central Bordeaux then you can't beat this hotel. We were two minutes walk from the longest continuous shopping street in Europe - bliss!! And just around the corner from the tourist office. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on it. If you're looking for a luxurious then don't go here but if you want something central to lay your head and leave your bags then you can't go wrong with Hotel De L'Opera. I would definitely go back.
