“Great location”

Nice comfortable hotel, conveniently located to the centre of bordeaux. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. We only stayed for one night, perhaps if you were staying a little longer you may find the room a little small? But compared with another hotel we stayed at in the same area the room was more than comfortable, and the bathroom was big enough, although the shower was a little small- but nothing to complain about. Breakfast is included and they reception staff let us leave our bags with them when we checked out so we could walk around bordeaux and pick them up later on the way to the airport. Would recommend anyone else to stay here.

Perfect location, right in the middle of the city center. Staff is helpful. Beds are VERY comfortable, but rooms are super tiny.

“Good value and location”

Great location. Some street noise but not too bad. Room was tiny but I'm not complaining. Included breakfast as pretty good. If you're not looking for big comfort or luxury this hotel was perfectly fine.

This is an older hotel located in an amazing part of Bordeaux's shopping/retail/restaurant/market area. The location is what this hotel is all about. The room itself isn't bad, but it's not what makes this hotel. It's the location. Oh, did I mention the location?

“Clemenceau Hotel a Bordeaux”

. Trop chaud dans la chambre, pas possible d'ouvrir les fenetres et l'air conditionne trop bruyante, donc tres mal dormi! . Au petit dejeuner, manquait toujours de la vaisselle ou des couverts. Le service de remplacement pas assez rapide. La qualite vraiment tres moyen des produits offerts. 2 etoiles pas plus c'est sur! . Et le petit dejeuner offert car la salle pas dans l'hotel est la surprise qui ne fut pas mentionne lors de la reservation!

“Smelly sheets and noisy”

For the price it was O.K. and very well positioned in the old centre of Bordeaux, also very convenient for the Airport Bus. BUT sheets smelled of someone else's stale sweat and overall cleanliness was pretty average. Worst of all we hardly slept because at 3 am they started cleaning the streets, moving all the tables, chairs and umberellas from the bars below and tipping all the empty bottles into the refuse collection lorry. Do they do that every night or is it only on Thursdays? I hope not!! The receptionist was very cheerful, spoke good English and was helpful with directions.

“Disappointed”

This hotel had been completely re-furbished according to the website. If this is it re-furbished I shudder to think what it was like before! I had an absolutely tiny single room with a very small window which made it dark. The carpet was badly stained, the shower was so small that every time you moved, a part of your body nudged the handle which turned it off ( I am not a big person!), the head wouldn't stay up till I used an elastic band to support it while I washed my hair, there was a significant leak under the sink, and despite my wedging my used towels under it to mop it up every day, nothing was done about it. The breakfast was minimal but acceptable, the welcome drink consisted of a few bottles of water, coke etc in a basin in the tiny reception area, and there was no sign of the promised lunch box! You can probably gather from this that I will not be back at this hotel. I realise it's only a 2 star hotel but they're charging 4 star prices. I do a lot of city breaks and have never paid that amount of money for such poor accommodation.
