“Very nice place”

This place is very nicely done, well maintained, and the owners are super friendly and accommodating. Its close to downtown Kralendijk, and a three minute walk to a snorkelable spot.

“Great place in Bonaire”

Bonaire Fun Apartments is a very friendly , quiet , clean and charming motel style accommodation just 2 short block from the sea where the snorkeling is excellent . The owners Roland and Irene were very good hosts and provided us much information about Bonaire . It was a very relaxing 2 weeks and we will return .

“Fun Apartment Review”

Actually set up for divers, the accomodations are somewhat spartan for easy cleaning and sand/moisture control. Only cold water is available at present [to be corrected soon] and the decor is certainly eclectic. Easy walking distance includes Yellow Submarine Diving [highly recommended] and Patagonia Restaurant [OK]. But we recommend it highly- the owners are very pleasant and helpful; they make the accomodations and the stay so pleasurable we plan to return.

Walk from apartment to town centre was longer than we realised, but very pleasant when we took the sea shore route. Area ideal for snorkelling, but there was little sand for sunbathing on a sandy beach as recent storms had caused most of the beach area to be covered in dead coral. Local restaurants within easy walking distance were very good, providing good service and excellent menus and food.

“Simple, Clean, Safe, Economical”

A luxury hotel it is not. However, for those on a smaller budget, it's a very good value. The building has character and the owners, who live next door, are friendly and helpful. Small, quiet, peaceful. Being able to eat some meals "at home" saves time and money--alot of money. Cornflakes for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch allowed us to enjoy a nice resturant dinner on the water each night.

“Cheap, comfortable and clean”

Roland and Irene are genial hosts, the apartments are clean, comfortable and well priced. Located just 2 short blocks from the beach and convenient to multiple good dive shops and excellent restaurants. They even have an outdoor tub to rinse your dive gear. Would go back.

“Odd name. Fun place.”

There were no phones. Was a little trouble getting sighned in. Air conditioner only worked at night. The place had a unique look and I felt very safe there. It is close to everything. For divers who do not like to be waited on hand and foot, it is not a bad place to stay.

“Great place to stay”

My wife and I spent 7 nights here. Very comfotable and CLEAN, and lots of room. It has a great location, nice and quite. It is a very short walk to the ocean where you we took morning walks on the boradalk. Roland and Irene (owners) meet us at the gate when we arrived and saw us off at the airport. We felt secluded and had a great time. Very good value. We will be returning.

“Very good value for the money.”

Very quiet and well-maintained; great staff and good location. Two criticisms: absolutely no comfortable place to sit and the vague odor of mildew on linens--I know that's tough to deal with in the Caribbean, but it's a bit off-putting.

“Bonaire Budget Vacation”

These apartments have a good location even though they are not right on the beach; you only have to walk about two blocks to a great snorkeling site. We saw most the same fish there as we did at the other sites we visited. We were in a studio apartment that was very adequate for our needs. We cooked most of our own meals and were able to get some great fresh fish from the a fisherman just a couple of houses from the apartments. You do need to bring some matches to light the four burner cooking plate. These apartments are very secure and we felt very safe our entire stay. These are apartments so you need to bring most of your own essentials towels, plates, cups, silverware, and pans for two were provided.The sheets are changes once a week and fresh towels are provided twice a week. There was a coffee maker that was great along with the air conditioning. You need to bring insect spray as the mosquitoes are very active especially at night. Conservation is stressed with the water and air conditioning because of the high cost for both. The people that run the apartments were very accommodating and helped us get a rental car delivered. We purchased dive socks to access the water. There are few sandy beaches; most are corals and the socks provided foot protection. A visit to grocery stores can help with meal and drink costs. The apartments are budget friendly. If you are looking for luxury you may want to choose some place else but they worked out great for us.
