“A little gem in Bologna”
This is a modest and small hotel and my room was small but so very well designed.All of the necessities were there, small closet with hangers that were pefect, nice table for luggage,double pillows that were just right for this elderly sleeper, a mattress that was firm and provided restful sleep throughout the quiet night. The bathroom small but with a plenitude of fresh and clean towels, and a shower, although tight, produced a brisk flow of water,hot and cold, and a more than adequate supply of soap and shampoo.All small and seemingly obvious requirements for a hotel but to have them so well arranged was a pleasure.And finally the charge for the room was modest and decisively cost effective.One small caveat, my room was very small and if a tourist or business person needed to spend any length of time in their room, this is probably not the hotel for them.But for the average tourist who spends a very short time in their rooms in this wonderful city of Bologna, it is hard to find a better buy. I will return to this hotel or one of the three hotels in this small chain when I return to visit family in Bologna.
“Great small Hotel find in Bologna”
Excellent for a "small" hotel. Excellent location. I really enjoyed my stay. Very clean and friendly/helpful staff. Right in the middle of Bologna and I was able to walk to everything. The shuttle bus to the Airport is right around the corner from the Hotel and I got to the Airport in 30-40 minutes. Bathroom was sparkling.
“This hotel is a gem.”
Great location, about 12 mins walk from the central train station, and close to an Airport Bus stop. About 10 mins from Piazza Maggiore, the Two Towers, and other major sights. The hotel itself is on a small side street, but it is safe and convenient. Just a block away from some of the city's top restaurants. Really impressive was the service -- free breakfast/cappuccino, free internet, nice staff, and the room had all kinds of little surprises, like little poems on the bedside nightstand. The only complaint was that our room overlooked a cafe, that on Friday was noisy until about 10:30pm. But the hotel is a real winner, the best we have stayed in in Italy. Though not as luxurious as a 4-5 star hotel, it was a great deal and we would go back. Bologna is great, and an easy train ride from almost anywhere in central and northern Italy, even Rome and Venice!
“Great place to stay”
This hotel was great: close to main street, very near airport bus, quiet at night (didn't need the ear plugs after all); excellent range of breakfast choices. Hotel is down dodgy looking alley, which concerned me at first but it was perfectly safe even late(ish) at night, as that part of town is very busy. There is a good trattoria right opposite if you don't want to go far. My 70-year old picky mother liked the place - so it must be ok!
“Great location, great staff, hotel a little tired”
The location of the Hotel Paradise is fantastic, 5 mins from the City Centre and 5 mins from the central railway station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms are not well insulated and the doors are quite flimsy so it is noisy in the room and you can hear people moving around inside the hotel and walking past on the street outside.
