Once inside the cozy confines of the hotel, you are treated to a true gem. Each of the 18 rooms has a secluded seating area with tables, chairs, and chaises. Bouganvia and jasmine draped arbors hang overhead to add to this breathtaking view and further delight the senses...add a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at sunset and you are set.
The room was simple, clean, and pleasant but a little on the small side. The pool on the main level was WONDERFUL, offering a cool dip on hot days and a panoramic vista of all of Bodrum. Breakfast was excellent, offering eggs as you like and a buffet of breads, cheeses, yogurts, juices and coffee. We were also glad that we took advantage of the candlelit poolside dinner for one of the evenings. I found the bed a bit firm for my liking but my wife thought it was quite comfortable. The AC was a must to have on typical Bodrum summer, however ours would make a loud straining noise sometime after a 2-5 hour timespan. This definitely woke me up during the middle of the night to shut it off and then wake up an hour later to turn it back on because it was to stuffy in the room. I guess we should have brought this to their attention, but in the end it was a minor inconvenience to an otherwise delightful stay at the Ancient Theater Hotel.
