Cosy little hotel, with friendly staff.Posted 16-Sep-2013
Pros: In the middle of town, friendly staff.
Cons: Hotel needs new furniture, and a major renovation badly.
Location: In the middle of Katoomba town. Close to Echo point and train station.
Cosy Hotel. Staff very friendly and very helpful. However, the decor and furniture is very old and dated. A general overhaul and major renovation is badly needed.

Nice hotel near the Blue MountainsPosted 10-Sep-2013
This hotel has a lot of desirable amenities. There was free internet, complimentary breakfast and scones with tea in the late afternoon. The decor is Victorian and the dining room is nicely decorated. The room was comfortable, however, the bathroom needs to be updated, especially the shower. There is free parking off the road and it is very quiet at night. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Quirky hotel in a great spot!Posted 5-Sep-2013
Pros: Location & the included breakfast.
Cons: The dining area is in need of a good clean as the same dead fly & crumbs on the floor joined us for breakfast on both mornings.
Location: Excellent location, close to tourist attractions & bus stop for the Hop On Hop Off bus tours. Within easy walking distance of The Three Sisters.
Hotel Blue is a good value for money hotel in close proximity to the Three Sisters & within easy walking distance of the town centre & train station. The hotel is full of character & charm. The included breakfast was delicious.

Fabulous Old Hotel, close to Katoomba. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cafe downstairs - food is fantastic. You can take it up to the palour bar while you are having an evening drink. Parlour bar is great too. Good selection of wines and nibbles. Games for everyone to play. Spa needs to be pre booked about 45 min's before you want to use it as it does not run consistently. Only problem we had was the bed. Not the most comfortable and once we got the electric blankets tunrned on, we culd not turn them off. Even after we pulled the plugs from the wall. Must have been another plug somewhere we could not access. Other than that it was great. About 5 min's walk to the main street which was wonderful. We will be back again..

good locationPosted 28-Jul-2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is in easy walking distance to both Katoomba township, Echo Point and good restaurants plus a fantastic art gallery almost next to it. Whilst the public areas are charming and in period style our room was cramped and extremely unappealing (ensuite with cracked and chipped tiles, peeling paint and wallpaper, no outlook) . The mattress on the double bed was comfortable however and the linen and towels fresh and clean. We ate in the hotel restaurant 1 night and it was very good. Staff are friendly and aim to be helpful where they can. They appear to be working hard to restore the hotel but the guest room we stayed in needs attention. Not sure if they are all quite so bad.The heating in the hotel is also another area requiring attention, neither our room nor the communal areas were warm enough.

Hidden gem in the heart of BLue MountainsPosted 24-Jul-2013
Lovely small hotel in the heart of Blue mountains. Close to everything (restaurants, bars, shops in just a few mins walks and walk tracks, visitor centre etc.) Very good to celebrate Yulefest. Friendly and helpful staff. If you need to relax an forget the busy city life this hotel is perfect to escape from the weekdays. Have a wine or a beer next to one the fabulous fireplaces and you will feel you travelled back in time. Recommend it for couples, group of friends and families to stay a few days here!

Pros: Great breakfast which is included
Cons: Requires refurbishment
Location: Great location next to rsl for a good meal and five minute walk to the main st
Hotel requires full upgrade, however this is the case with all katoomba hotels. Breakfast was great and staff are friendly. Had to wait 15 minutes for someone to appear at the counter for me to check in and check out, however that was the only issue I had. Great location as can walk to everything

Great location and very friendly staff. The public areas of the hotel were lovely. However, the guest rooms desperately need renovating, especially the bathrooms.
