I would love to give a perfect review, but unfortunately, I can't. The gentleman who checked us in was wonderful. He was really sweet and very attentive. On the departure the woman behind the desk was so rude. My husband wanted to check out and get a receipt, and the woman behind the desk was on her phone and rolled her eyes when my husband was standing at the front desk. My husband said we were checking out, and she said sarcastically, "OK," and continued talking on her phone, clearly not talking to a customer. When my husband stood there waiting she said, "Yes?" My husband said, "I would like a receipt". She then told the person on the other line," Hold On." I gave my husband a receipt without a "Was everything ok with your stay? or Thank you for staying with us." Absolutely no comment from her.
This is such poor business etiquette. Unfortunately, we take this into strong consideration when we return to a hotel.
The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was decent. The rooms were a little small, but because we were there just to sleep, it didn't matter. We would stay there more because both our sons go to ISU, and we visit from time to time. But because of this young lady's attitude and our disturbing her personal phone call during her work time, we will not be returning again.
