Rooms were nice, but all outside noise could be heard clearly. And it was a busy night at the hotel.

Inexpensive hotel close to VaTech

Pros: Convenience, price and staff.
Cons: More housekeeping - vacuuming would be helpful.
Location: Convenient to VA Tech which was the real reason for staying at the hotel.
Hotel staff was very friendly. The room didn't feel clean -- towels and pillowcases not placed in the room until requested. Didn't request housekeeping except for clean linens. The shower was hot (maybe a little too hot) and the toilet made the bathroom door a little tight for maneuvering. Soundproofing wasn't good and had noisy neighbors one of the nights we stayed. We only stayed two nights. The free breakfast was okay -- orange juice good and the cereal choices were good. My family aren't really breakfast people anyway so I can't really evaluate this fairly.

Bare Bones-Could be better

Pros: Beds were comfortable
Cons: Clean hotel rooms daily. Situate ice machines and vending machines closer to rooms.
Location: Blacksburg, Va. Stayed there for college orientation.
The hotel is clean-somewhat dated. Beds were not made during our stay. Towels were replaced, and that's about it. no evidence of cleaning was noted. Stayed for 2 nights. Ice and drink vending services were remote.

Needs updating

Pros: The location was great and the free popcorn was a plus. Loved having a refrigerator and microwave in the room.
Cons: The shower heads need to be cleaned or replaced and some QA/QC when cleaning the rooms.
Location: Very easy to get to and not far from Christiansburg, Blacksburg & Va Tech
Very disappointing for a Days Inn. Very old hotel that has smoking and non smoking rooms beside each other. Therefore the smoke was going thru the air vents and making the non smoking rooms smelly. The hotel staff was very accommodating and switched our rooms. However, then we were given a room where the phone didn't work. Lastly, the next morning while getting out of the shower we realized the maid forgot to give us new towels. When I told the front desk at check out they apologized but that was all.

Softball trip

Came up for acc softball tournament. We stayed here before and were very pleased. Staff were very friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable. Thats why we stayed again and had the same experience!

Close to V Tech.

Pros: Desk clerk was very nice
Cons: really needs updating rooms
Location: lots to do in Blacksburg very close virginia tech and shopping
Desk clerk was very pleasant and thoughful. Room was on backside of hotel, very outdated bathroom floor was dirty and cob webs threwout room need a very thorogh cleaning. Breakfast was only until 9am

no excuse

Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful
Cons: Simply do the proper cleaning of the bed linens and shower/bathroom
Location: Visiting Virginia Tech
I found a bug between the sheets just as I was about to get in :( also the next morning as I am getting in the shower there was long black hair all over the shower walls...both of the issues disgusted me.

Great breakfast but room not too comfortable

Location: good location and a lot to do around. Close to campus
Great location and good price. Everything was great. ONly thing i could complain about is that the bed wasn't the most comfortable bed i've slept in and the bathroom felt a little dirty.
