Needs updating

Pros: The location was great and the free popcorn was a plus. Loved having a refrigerator and microwave in the room.
Cons: The shower heads need to be cleaned or replaced and some QA/QC when cleaning the rooms.
Location: Very easy to get to and not far from Christiansburg, Blacksburg & Va Tech
Very disappointing for a Days Inn. Very old hotel that has smoking and non smoking rooms beside each other. Therefore the smoke was going thru the air vents and making the non smoking rooms smelly. The hotel staff was very accommodating and switched our rooms. However, then we were given a room where the phone didn't work. Lastly, the next morning while getting out of the shower we realized the maid forgot to give us new towels. When I told the front desk at check out they apologized but that was all.

Softball trip

Came up for acc softball tournament. We stayed here before and were very pleased. Staff were very friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable. Thats why we stayed again and had the same experience!

Close to V Tech.

Pros: Desk clerk was very nice
Cons: really needs updating rooms
Location: lots to do in Blacksburg very close virginia tech and shopping
Desk clerk was very pleasant and thoughful. Room was on backside of hotel, very outdated bathroom floor was dirty and cob webs threwout room need a very thorogh cleaning. Breakfast was only until 9am

no excuse

Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful
Cons: Simply do the proper cleaning of the bed linens and shower/bathroom
Location: Visiting Virginia Tech
I found a bug between the sheets just as I was about to get in :( also the next morning as I am getting in the shower there was long black hair all over the shower walls...both of the issues disgusted me.

Great breakfast but room not too comfortable

Pros: convenient and no hassles

Location: good location and a lot to do around. Close to campus
Great location and good price. Everything was great. ONly thing i could complain about is that the bed wasn't the most comfortable bed i've slept in and the bathroom felt a little dirty.

Okay hotel if you can't get into another one.

Pros: Location; the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The rooms need to be cleaner and more updated.
Location: The location was great, close to restaurants, etc.
The staff were extremely helpful, but the room was dirty. It only had 1 small trash can and one of the outlets did not work. Also, the sink and hair dryer are outside the bathroom door so the first person to get up wakes up everyone when they dry their hair or turns on the light over the sink to get ready in the morning.

Second Home Maybe

The hotel is nice and just about 4 miles from VA Tech Campus. We were there for my daughter if things go right. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and staff was excellent. We had booked to 2 double beds non-smoking, through Hotels.com however the hotel was booked already for those type of rooms so they upgraded us to 1 king, sleep sofa at no extra charge. Awesome. The continental breakfast was great as well. Only wish they had bigger coffee cups cause they make a great pot of coffee. If daughter is accepted at Tech this will become second home, when we travel there. Thanks

Do not stay here!

We reserved a NON-Smoking room. Arrived we after a 6hr drive, we were told that there were no NON-Smoking Rooms left. Really? I don't mind if they have to give me 2 beds vs a king or vice versa, but if I book a NON-Smoking room, that is what I expect!! This is a health issue. Broken beer bottles outside our hotel room door, sheets were yellow and dingy! Room felt Gross! Told us we would have to deal with Hotels.com to get a refund? We will see what happens?

Will not re-book.

Location: Close to VA Tech, VCOM, downtown Blacksburg, Christiansburg.
We were told there was a mix up with the third party agency we used to book the room and we some how ended up in a smoking room. That was not fun and made the stay very uncomfortable. We tried to air the room out but the smell was in the bed sheets, our clothes, etc. I was coughing all night. There was a dirty towel hanging on the bath rail. There was hair/dirt on the bathroom floor. The room overall didn't "feel" clean. The complimentary breakfast looked okay, but we did not have time to stay the next morning so I cannot comment on that. The staff was pleasant and friendly, however. The room did have a microwave and refrigerator which was convenient.
