“Marriott- 5 star experience”
Executive hotel. 5 star. Didnt get a chance to peruse gym and pool facilities, but I expect they will be top notch. Got a great deal via expedia on advance room booking. Room size, Location and parking facilities excellent. Only slight issue is menu is quite meat oriented, not much option if you are vegetarian. Strongly recommend. Also no automatically free wifi access, which is unusual but not a major drawback for this 5 star.
“Fantastic weekend at Birmingham Marriott”
The hotel was lovely and staff really helpful. It was about 5-10 mins walk from all the activity and restaurants on Broad Street. Good choice and great breakfast. You couldn't have just a continental as the buffet was all or nothing which made the croissant and coffee I ended up having relatively expensive. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were never that busy and a perfect way to relax at the end of a hard day's shopping!
“Quiet and calm”
We were very pleased with our executive room which was a smoking room as requested. The king size bed was very comfortable and I slept really well. There was no noise from adjacent rooms or the corridor. The bathroom was a decent size with a big window. I went down to the leisure centre for a swim on both Saturday and Sunday mornings at 6.00 and -7.00 am and both times it was very quiet - at 6am I had the pool to myself. Towels were provided and there was an excellent large jacuzzi - next time I would also use the gym. Service in the bar and elsewhere was excellent and we felt personally welcomed. The hotel was within easy walking distance of the city centre once the porter showed us which way to head.
“Good Quality - Very Comfortable”
Good hotel - very close to Broad Street which was convenient for ICC. Only drawback was cramped parking (but the doorman parked my car for me in the end!) and parking charge of nine UK pounds per day. The bar was far too expensive. Breakfast very good. We slept a straight nine hours through following a long journey - we weren't disturbed by any noice at all and the bed/room was extremely comfortable.
“Excellent Stay”
We recently stayed at this Hotel & could not fault it in any way. From the minute we checked in to when we left we were very impressed with the hotel & friendly staff. well done
“Love staying here!”
Second visit to the Marriott and we enjoyed every minute! The hotel is so near all main attractions - we went to the cinema and walked back in five minutes - and yet it is so quiet and peaceful. The beds are heavenly, especially the feather and down pillows! One small gripe would be that at breakfast time we were not sure of procedures - do we wait to be seated? and when we asked, the Associate did rather give the impression that she had more important things to think about. Also, although we did come down to breakfast at ten twenty, if they offer Breakfast until 11 0 clock, they really should replenish stocks: little in the way of cold meats and cheese left. However, apart from this The Marriott is certainly a hotel we would visit again and again!
“first class from start to finnish..if ever returning to Brum would use again”
the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel was outstanding.staff very pleasent and most helpfull
“Great stay at the Marriott in Birmingham”
My wife and I stayed at the hotel prior to picking up our son from Birmingham University. Overall a great stay with a very spacious light and quiet room (number 104). Bathroom also spacious and very clean. We had 2 drinks in the bar which were quite expensive and served in the very elegant bar adjacent to the dining room. The staff were extremely polite. Breakfast was very good. I would return without any hesitation.
“very pleasant”
So nice to stay in a hotel where all the staff we encountered was helpful, very friendly and always a smile on their faces. It made our stay very pleasant indeed. Thank you.
“Great Service!”
Great hotel and great service. A little bit inconvenient if you have to get to the New Street but a nice walk if you don't mind. I was really impressed with the amenities and the quality of service. The gym was quite nice too.
