“great hotel”
hotel was very clean and comfortable.all of the staff i encountered were extremely charming.great location
“Excellent value for money”
The hotel is ideally situated for the center of Birmingham. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff very pleasant. Most importantly it offers extremely good value for money.
“Great Value for Money”
My son and I were looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful close to the university where we would be able to get something to eat and a decent night's sleep ahead of his interview - the Campanile was just the job. This was not the best hotel I've ever stayed in but in terms of value for money, it was excellent and I would definitely stay in a Campanile again.
“did the job”
Nice hotel, friendly staff, good location, nice food, bar and pool table. Would definately go back.
“Ok for the price”
The hotel is'nt surrounded by anything worth walking to but it's not too far from centre of Birmingham, a taxi cost around 7 pounds. The room itself needs a lick of paint and the shower curtain smelt, the bed was ok apart from it being on wheels! If you looking for somewhere cheap for one night then its fine and there is free parking!
“Tired but reasonably comfortable”
did not find staff particularly helpful when asked questions, rooms are in need of redecoration. Beds were comfortable and showers good, it served our purpose. Breakfast was also good for a reasonable extra cost.
“2 nights in Birmingham”
Did not realise how far the hotel was from the city centre. I do not have a car! The hotel in on an industrial estate. Food in the restaurant was good, although they could do with closing the kitchen door and keeping the noise and smell away from the diners. No tumblers in the bathroom or appropriate towel rails.
“served a purpose”
we only stayed here as it was cheap an we needed to stay for 1 night. rooms are small and very basic. if i was going again i would probably pay more for a better hotel, although for price can't complain as we only really wanted a bed for the night.
“Not impressed”
Reception staff tried hard but too many mistakes were made. The hors d'oeuvres counter was good but my main course was attrocious. Green beans with their life removed, lamb which sat on my stomach for hours, warm white wine. Not good, particulalry from a French chain. What one might have expected in the UK in the 1970s.
