“Brand New...working hard.”
This hotel had only been open 5 days when we arrived. They are working hard to get the kinks out. It is a nice facilty and of course, the rooms are brand new.
“Very Nice!”
Will use again next time I am in the area. Won't do the breakfast again. Food was good buy overpriced. Thought breakfast came as part of the package.
“Great Time”
Very good overnight experience. Ordered room service - food was good and delivered in a timely manner. If I had any complaints, it would be that our room was next to the housekeeping unit and when we first arrived, we heard some noise from next door. It only lasted a short time. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely stay again!
“Leisure trip”
Staff very friendy and helpful. Bed A+ comfortable, multiple sized and textured pillows. Multiple curtains and individually switched lamps for different lighting, including a heavy curtain for 'pitch black'. good bathroom products. Close to everything. Cool bar, great food, room service was slow is only complaint. Oh and no 'do not disturb' hanger/insert in my room but nobody bothered me so no harm no foul. Breakfast buffet with room upgrade well worth the money. IMO this place gets the main things right (bed, restaurant/bar, service) as well as any 5-star I've stayed, and at half the price. For price range, my new favorite place to stay in B'ham.
“No free continental Breakfast”
The only problem that I could find with this hotel was the fact that they did not offer the free Continental Breakfast. Other than that, I found everything else to be superb and will most likely stay there again.
“Great place, and a great price!"”
The hotel staff was very friendly. I stayed here due to a business meeting and had the pleasure of eating several lunches there. The food was flavorful, the rooms were clean and neat and the staff was very accomodating. Kudos to Robert, Buffy, and Leah! It is a new facility in a great area close to shopping and eateries. Traffic can be tough getting in or out during peak times, but I would stay there again when I am in the area.
“One small thing, otherwise great”
Other than the fact that the air conditioner in my room didn't work, this honestly was a great hotel, and at an excellent price.
“Hotel was not ready for opening...”
Hotel had been open for only a week and did not have proper staffing, amenities were not completed and available. Management was scarce. The restaurant staff was rude and inept taking up to an hour to serve a simple breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast and juice. Holiday Inn has a better reputation than what was presented at this location. They should have held off on the opening to the public until the hotel was completed (i.e.- swimming pool, etc.)
