“Real Western Charm”
This is a completely charming hotel and I loved getting such a bargain on the room through Expedia! I was also thrilled to find a Salad Creations restaurant in Billings - wouldn't have know if not for the big ad in the in-room guide. The hotel is so convenient to lots of great little places in the neighborhood. I did request a room in the courtyard - where you can park right in front of the door to the room (so much easier for loading in and out), but did not get it. As it turned out, it wasn't a problem. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great Value for your money. Very clean and comfortable in the heart of the city. Western decor was refreshing and appropriate for this area. Motel was built when quality material was available. Attached Cafe was very handy, service was friendly and food was excellent. I would rate this off the beaten path motel as a great find! AAA+++ Secure parking inside of their walls.
“Would stay again”
This Motel in down town Billings was clean, comfortable, and the staff were ever so helpful. If you are travelling to Billings it is basic but very comfortable. Worth a stay if you are on a budget.

Well all i can say is that the staff are extremely friendly. It has an amazing atmosphere and the room was great and extremely comfortable and very clean. It was also very quiet. Its close to the local theatre and the city, although Billings is huge but I did have a car, or at least my son did which made things easier to get around. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. You really cant go wrong staying here and I would like to thank the staff for my stay:)
“Local Color”
Great place -- reminds me of the days before chains and everything in the US being the same no matter where you go. But perfectly comfortable, clean, and with all the modern conveniences, including easy-to-use wireless internet. Very close to many downtown restaurants. Great coffee shop on site -- again takes you back. Restaurant is a favorite of Montana locals. Motel has easy parking on site protected from the street. I have stayed in many more expensive motels/hotels in Billings and prefer the Dude Rancher.
“1st time...but not the last!!!”
I lived in blgs for 13 yrs.(until 1996) and have walked by The Dude Rancher many times,but never gave it much thought.I was coming back for a vacation and checked Expedia for an inexpensive room with WI-FI.There were a couple of hotels listed that were cheaper than "The Dude",but i liked the downtown location and the majority of the reviews were good,so I took a chance and made a reservation there.I loved it!!! It was comfortable(kinda rustic),the gal at the desk was friendly( and helpful when i had trouble getting my computer hooked up to their WI-FI),and the maintainance man even checked with me to make sure my air conditioner was doing it's job.I try to get back to Billings every summer and I'll be staying at the Dude Rancher from now on. The only negative from my 4day stay was at the restraunt(sp.),and that was a minor mix-up with white toast.she brought wheat,but promptly corrected the problem. Over-all an excellent experience!
“Great Value”
A wonderful little hotel. The western theme makes this hotel stand out from the big chains. The location, staff and price makes a Billings gem!
“Cabin & mattress”
The room is a little bit small, but the memory mattress is comfortable. Cabin atmosphere seems warm for me by staying.
“Dude Rancher was Great!”
Very nice place to stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was quaint.
