Pros: Location
Cons: Customer relations training for the hateful woman.
Location: Yellowstone
The guy that checked us in was really good. The lady that replaced him was extremely rude and hateful. Most of the time there was no one on duty. Maids did not speak English so they were of little help with our needs.

Old and shabby. The dead bolt on the door did not work and our room was right next to the main sidewalk and street. The check in clerk was a germ-a-phobic. She had to get a tissue to handle my credit card and give us the key. She should wear gloves and a mask if that afraid. If this was a four-star I would hate to see anything less. Was way too expensive for what you got.

Pros: Nothing. I was embarrassed to have family with us.
Cons: Customer service and general room upgrades.
Location: The town was a delight! Lots of touristy things to do and places to eat. Really kept with the Yellowstone theme.
When checking in the person checking us in ask to spell all information. When I tried to give her my driver license because all the info was spelled out she rudely said "I can do this better if you just tell me". There was a constant reminder we acquired this hotel through Expedia as if that was something bad. We then went to our room. There were stains on the chairs and the curtains were falling down due to being torn. The bathroom fan was as loud as a chain saw. An interesting note was having a sink and mirror in the closet! The TV was probably 19 inch. There was WiFi but the signal was so weak it was useless. We went and asked other local hotels about getting a hotel room, but all were booked. They shook their heads when we told them where we were staying.

A slight upgrade from a campground

Pros: It is close to the park entrance and within walking distance to everything in West Yellowstone. But then again, so is every other hotel in town.
Cons: Maybe some new paint, new furnishings, patch holes in walls/hire a carpenter that does good work and fills in their holes...
Location: The Branch restaurant next door is great and has a cool refurbished Pullman train car on display. The Woodside bakery is great - get there early.
I spend a week or two in Yellowstone every year. This year I didn't really want to camp. Comparing the quality of this room to the various park campgrounds I have stayed at over the years I would probably go back to camping. The room was very overpriced for what you get in return. I'm sure several of the campground facilities in the park have had more recent upgrades than this hotel. The price of the room is a reflection of the limited amount of hotel rooms in the area, not the quality of this establishment. One plus is that the building was very quiet, surprisingly so since given the rickety construction. Next trip I would look elsewhere unless this hotel had refurbished the rooms or significantly reduced the price.

Pros: Close to park entrance and places to eat.
Cons: Vastly over priced. If this motel were anywhere other than West Yellowstone the rooms would be 50 bucks a night.
It's unfortunate I had to give hotel staff an average rating. The gal working the desk in the afternoon/evening was awesome, however the one working it in the morning offsets it enough to make the combined score average.

Outrageously expensive for the condition. Very outdated and uncomfortable w/ uncaring staff. We will never stay there when touring Yellowstone Park again.
