“Carlton Europe Hotel”
The hotel is in a great location close to the east train station. Our room looked out on the mountains. Beautiful! It's an easy walk to go through the shopping district, past the park where the cows keep the grass mown! The staff was friendly, very competent in English.
“Will be back”
This hotel was refurbished a couple of years ago and they are continuing to improve. We stayed in the Europa part of the hotel. Rooms were fantastic - for single rooms they were huge - I had a 4 poster double bed and a whirlpool bath. My mother's room was equally as spacious - plus flat screen TV's. Cleanliness outstanding. I have now stayed here in the summer and the winter -would recommend and I will be looking to book here again for January 2010. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was standard buffet but good quality and plentiful. Dining room for dinner not open in the winter but is during the summer season and again good quality and plentiful
“Excellent”
The location is great, far enough from the city center and close enough to walk to the heart of the city. Very close to the train station. Just make sure you book it using expedia, it is cheaper than calling them. Also, if you need an extra bed book it in advance from Expedia rather than going to the hotel and getting one. The charge 4 times the money if you ask for an extra bed. Call expedia before you leave for an extra bed.
“Comfortable and Convenient hotel with helpful friendly staff”
This hotel is conveniently located near Interlaken ost hbf, the local coop for shopping and a beautiful look out called the Harderkum. It is a short pleasant walk to the centre of town. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean although some rooms at the same price have substantially more space and better views eg 1 small attic window compared to balcony plus two large windows. Recommend this hotel.
“Amazing views”
The location of the hotel is quite convinient as is it near to the train station. But the best part was the view our room had.
“Would stay there again”
The location: Very conveniently located, a four to five minute walk from the Interlaken Ost train station. A bus station located outside the station has buses going to the shopping area and Interlaken West station. (The hotel gives you a pass which entitles you to free public transport within Interlaken). There is also a big Coop supermarket and a pharmacy within five minutes of the hotel. Staff: extremely polite and helpful. Room: We stayed in a standard room which was basic but spotless and we had a lovely view of snow-capped peaks from our room. The only odd thing about the room was a curtain instead of a door separating the room from the en-suite. But the en-suite again was very clean and the curtain did not really bother us. Breakfast: Very satisfying buffet of cereals, cold meats, cheeses and scrambled eggs. Overall: We enjoyed our stayed and would go back.
“can't recommend this hotel to any body”
no room service, they don't allow to eat in the room. after paying so much amount we took our bags to our room on 3 floor.. heater works some times.. no complimentary tea or coffee bags in the room. AVOID THESE HOTEL...
