The hotel was really nice and comfortable. The reason for not giving it 5 stars was my very unacceptable experience with dealing with the front desk staff and their billing system. We booked the hotel through Expedia and paid for the hotel before we went on the trip, except for the local taxes and fees, $107, which were to be collected at the hotel. That is fine, except when I checked in they put a hold on my credit card for around $1300, which did not make sense to me because we paid for the room ahead of time. After questioning the staff, I was unable to get a reasonable answer as to why, but I decided to go ahead and deal with it because I was trying not to let it ruin our experience there. So the night before we checked out, I asked to see my charges which should have been around $400. The nice staff lady handed me a statement for over $1000. Of course I questioned this and she finally corrected it and said there was a glitch in the system. So next morning when we left, I did not have a chance to get a final statement as we were in a rush to get to the airport. After getting home, I checked my credit card transactions and it had pending charges of $1300, $400, and another $1300. We had paid for the room from a bank account before going on the trip. I was told by the credit card company that these charges were holds on my account, and that they would drop off in 7 to 10 days. The $2600 hold is still showing on my account, 5 days later. So Beware of excessive charges!!

A Disastrous Hotel Experience I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Hamilton Princess and I must say, it was absolutely dreadful. From the moment I stepped foot into the hotel, I knew I was in for a disappointment. First and foremost, the customer service was abysmal. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and seemed to have no interest in providing any sort of assistance. There were a few staff that went above and beyond and i want to personally send them a thank you. It felt like they were doing me a favor by simply acknowledging my existence. I had numerous issues during my stay, ranging from a malfunctioning unit, to a mold and mildew bathroom , and each time I approached the front desk for help, I was met with indifference and a complete lack of urgency. Moving on to the room itself, it was far from the advertised luxury experience. The cleanliness was questionable at best, with stains on the carpet, rust around the toilet, and dust in every corner. The bed was uncomfortable, made squeaky noises and was broken, the pillows were lumpy, and the overall decor felt outdated and worn out. It was clear that the hotel had not invested any effort in maintaining the rooms to a satisfactory standard or that they deliberately provided us with the bottom of the barrel. The amenities offered were nothing more than a joke. The the pool area was dirty and unkempt, and the Wi-Fi connection was so slow that it was practically unusable. It felt like the hotel was living in

I found glass in my champagne flute while I was drinking a mimosa at breakfast. The glass went all the way back to my throat, I thought it was ice. When it didn't melt, I pulled it out and realized it was a chunk of glass. They didn't seem to care and offered me another mimosa. I asked if I could get it in their signature phone booth cup. They said they only make those drinks in the bar Intrepid. I asked when it opens if I could get one, knowing that they sell them in the gift shop as well they said sure. Later on a manger came up to me to apologize and I asked her to comp the wings and sassy pineapple drink. It was a $45 tab. No one seemed really bothered by this scary situation. I was there alone and afraid the rest of my trip.

The property beyond the lobby is old and tired. The rooms are too spread out from the main lobby and took several minutes and 2 elevator rides to get to room. The rooms are old and cramped. We found grease and dirt on the walls, bed and tv remote. For $600/night the room should be much nicer and should have not taken several elevators to get to. This was not a penthouse, it was a basic room on ground floor with one King bed. The view was of a canal that overlooked at a boat yard.

I had the opportunity to stay at this property on my first family vacation what a disappointment. House keeping was horrible, we walked in to a ball a hair in our shower. After we complained they said they put in for a deep cleaning that ball of hair moved from the shower to the trash nothing was cleaned, they didn’t even make our bed they threw our blanket on the bed and boom room clean. They didn’t empty our trash, you can see stains on pillows and cover. The room looked old and in maintained. Elevators were small and as well old looking, not to talk about resort fees and tax over $120 per night for what? Never going back.

There were ants inside the room where i couldnt leave unpeeled orange outside, not to mention there were cochroaches and when i complained to the hotel, they said they r in a tropical humid climate where this is totally accoetable explained by the hotel manager named- Mandy Burchall.

The Hamilton Princess shines like a Bermudian crown jewel. Gorgeous setting, easy walk to downtown Hamilton. And they take safety very seriously! I was there during 2 days of Tropical Storm Lee, and the precautions they took were solid and reassuring. 5 stars all the way!

Everything was perfect! The room was spacious (a corner room) The only slight inconvenience was a very small bathroom with 1 tiny sink. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful in every way! Many options for pools, dining, and shopping. Woulld go back there next time.

Great service. Oliver at the Intrepid was the best! Ask for him if you go there. Great private beach 20 mins away with free shuttle.

A nice stay at the Princess
We had our 12 year old with us so we stayed in a room with two double beds. These rooms are a bit dated and small, furniture is basic and not really a room you’d hang out in. The Intrepid restaurant is excellent, amazing food and service. Private beach club is a beautiful spot with ok service and decent food and drinks. Shuttle service to and from is helpful.
