“Coco Reef is Paradise”
Older hotel but a perfect location in Bermuda. We stayed in rm 215 and had an ocean front 1 bedroom unit. The only complaint with the room was the bathroom had no venting. When we took showeres the steam would fog up the mirror and the water vapor had no way to vent out. The staff was very helpful and attentive. There is also a great restaurant, The Coco Cafe, facing the ocean and the food was great. We had lunch of the terrace and it was perfect. There are 64 rooms but we never saw more than 4-6 people at any one time. Be it at the beach, pool or terrace area. It felt like our own private facility. We had coffee on the deck each morning and would plan out or day. Wifi worked in our unit, it was fast too!
“Bermuda's Best Kept Secret”
We loved our stay at Coco Reef. The resort is centrally located on the island, which made it very convenient to get to Hamilton, St. George, and the Dockyard. The staff was very friendly, the service was excellent, the room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We had an ocean front room and the view couldn't be beat. The beach was an easy walk away. We took our two children and their spouses, and they kept saying, "This is the best vacation ever." We are already making plans to go back to Bermuda and we know where we will stay... we will come right back to Coco Reef.
“Had a wonderful stay.”
The room view of the ocean was wonderful. The ceiling fan was lovely and nice to have running. We came one week after Igor. Everything was pretty much back to normal. The pink sand was there again. The color scheme in the room - turquoise, white and peach - was pleasant. The pool was nice, although we mostly went down to the water. Service was tremendous, whether it was "changing" money for us, calling us taxis, or whatever we needed. We took the pre-paid breakfasts which were nice - with eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, and other items. The other meals were expensive, but we ate almost every meal there. We will definitely return to Bermuda, and very likely will choose the Coral Reef Bermuda again.
“Coco Reef, Bermuda - Gotta' Go”
The Coco Reef is an amazing hotel. The ocean view are incredible, food is to die for and the staff can't do enough for you. Such a welcome change from the humongous hotels that, oftentimes, dominate island vacations. Can't wait to return
“21 trips to Bernuda, and still want to go back”
we were extreamly impressed with the hotel. everythiing was top drawer..i only have one small complaint,,when we booked the hotel, which was a few months befor going, i asked for an end room top floor...called the hotel one week befor we left, thay said we had our top floor end unit. when we went down to our room, we were right in the middle. we had a wall on our right and had a limited view.of the beach .we made the best of it.
“A steal”
Had a great time at a great hotel
“Perfect Hotel”
My wife and I just went down to celebrate our 2nd anniversary and this hotel was perfect. It has one of the best views on the whole island. Every room has an incredible view and I loved the fact that we could walk out the sliding glass door on our porch and practically be on the beach. The rooms had a very nice casual feel to them and were very clean. I found it to be very relaxing to enjoy drinks at the bar every evening enjoying the view. It is a fairly low key hotel which is what we were looking for. It is right next to the Elbow Beach Resort which has a little more nightlife so you can walk next door if that is what you are looking for. Also, the location of the hotel is a huge plus being located in the middle of the island. It is a quick 5 minute bus ride or cab ride into Hamilton. I really wonder about those who wrote negative reviews of this hotel...They must be impossible to please. Between the friendly staff, the hotel decor, the landscaping and the view, what's not to like?
“Very good short vacation destination and hotel. Would return.”
I think the setting on Elbow Beach was absolutely perfect. The rooms were nice, good views, and the maid service was excellent. The dining room and lobby were very fine and the cuisine quite good. The desk people, while trying, did not always communicate back. For example, reservation for special dinner at one restaurant was full, but not communicated back. Then new dining place was booked for one time, but earlier time not communicated back. Had to find out by double checking myself. An A/C problem was handled well by maintencance people. Generally speaking, I would give the facility an A- or B+.Able to use public busses by walking down hill through College. Elbow Beach Hotel, next door, has excellent restaurants for special occasions.Taxis are prompt. Bermuda is a lovely destination for people wanting beautiful water, English type hospitality, and a laid back, relaxed vacation spot. There are many historic and interesting sites to visit on the Island. Everything is clean and proper, unlike some of the Carribbean Islands where you must be very selective.
“We'll go back there next time!”
Our room was 50 feet from the beach, 200 feet from the water, the place low key, a real pleasure. We didn't want the crowds and unnecessary amenities of the big resorts, and Coco Reef had just what we were looking for. The staff was extremely friendly and quick to offer helpful information about getting around Bermuda. The housekeepers were happy to work around our leisurely schedule. It's located adjacent to the Bermuda College campus -- not all that big or busy, and an easy 10-minute walk through the campus to the bus stop. The the nearby grocery and small refrigerator in the room allowed us to stock up on breakfast and lunch items, saving quite a bit on the dining. We'd recommend Coco Beach to anybody!
“Beatiful place to relax”
Had a beatiful view of the ocean and beach; very nicley keep up facility.
