We stayed one night after we took the train from Dresden and were awaiting a very early morning flight the next morning. Unfortunately I was ill and needed to check in early so I could go to bed. The hotel staff went way out of their way to find a room that early in the day, they ended upgrading us to accommodate our needs. It would have been easy, and justifiable, to ask us to wait several more hours. At 4 am they got us loaded into a cab on our way to the airport with a Wall Street Journal tucked under our arm. The room was lovely.

We arrived Friday afternoon,we booked a chauffeur car which took less than 30 minutes to reach from Tegel. We were booked in by very helpful staff, who spoke very good English,as did nearly every German we met.A U Bahn station was within a 10 min walk where you can get to anywhere in Berlin to see the sights. The Hotel itself was clean, bright, the rooms were very comfortable, quiet,we were on the 5th floor, and all the little extras you would expect from a 4 star Hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is quite subtle from the outside, for a hotel of it's size you half expect to see a lot more of it. But once inside the staff are very friendly, impeccable English and even allowed me to check-in early.
The theme is very much 1920's Berlin, white and marble halls, red carpets and lots of mirrors. Whatever you might think of the decor, the hotel was very nice to stay in. With rooftop terraces, great room service and a genuine Berlin feel to the place.
