Pros: Fantastic location close to many attractions. Friendly, helpful staff. Amazing atrium, bar area, wonderful for people watching. Modern and spacious.
Cons: Limited offering, lacking focus from restaurant.
Location: Ideal central location for main tourist attractions. Walking distance to shopping area around hackischer markt. Nearby u and s bahn.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more highly. Fabulous central location. Great value for money. Lovely rooms with amazing views to the Dom. Staff were terrific. Will be back.

Above average hotel, close to historic Berlin

Posted 17-Apr-2015
Pros: Main reception area (fish tank)
Cons: HEat restaurant prices (Hotel's own restaurant) could be more competitive as there is an array of good eateries nearby.
Location: Brandenburg Gate, Abel Platz, Hitler's Bunker, Topography of Terrors, Check Point Charlie and Alexanderplatz all within walking distance. Train 200m.
Nice hotel, well situated being close to the more historic landmarks of Berlin. Had 2 rooms on different floors (family of 4) and whilst bar staff and cleaners were excellent our teenage kids were moved from their room rather abruptly at 1 am without any notice (fire sprinklers had gone off). Not handled well by officious hotel staff but this was the only down side to our stay.

A short city break

Posted 15-Apr-2015
Pros: I liked the spar & pool, my daughter the cocktails!
Location: There were many bars & restaurants and all tourist points of interest were within a walking distance if you are fit. Public transport is fine if not.
The hotel was in an excellent location! Close to the central area and so convenient for travel and visits to various attractions. There were a good selection of various bars and restaurants in very close proximity. The reception is amazing with a cylindrical fish tank that spans four or five storeys, glass lifts and a really attractive restarant area (though we did not indulge). The gym & spa is adequate but a rowing machine would have been a welcome addition. The pool is very pleasant and a really nice temperature. The whole area is staffed by well presented and obliging staff. My daughter could not cope with the 'no swimwear' policy of the spar but i did not find it prohibitive - everyone was considerate and modest. The hotel beds are so comfortable we struggled to get out and the rooms were clean, comfortable and had all the facilities we wanted. Overall a wonderful experience in a wonderful city.

Excellent hotel in central Berlin

Posted 15-Apr-2015
Pros: Everything! I can't think of another hotel of which I could say that.
Cons: The bed could be slightly softer.
Location: Museum Island is only a few hundred yards away, as is the rail station at Alexanderplatz from which we could reach Potsdam in half an hour.
From the moment we arrived until we checked out there was really nothing which was not truly excellent. Staff who were pleasant, well informed and eager to please, outstanding facilities and a comfortable room with a balcony looking out over the River Spree and the Berlin Dom; all these contributed to a memorable stay. The central feature of a six storey glass cylinder of exotic fish in the central atrium is a unique and fascinating feature.

Fabulous hotel. Staff couldn't have done more.

Posted 14-Apr-2015
Pros: The massive fish tank through the middle of the hotel is amazing!
Location: Central location. 5 mins walk from the train station. Great restaurants nearby.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Well worth upgrading to the business room as we loved our balcony with views over the Spree and the Cathedral. Breakfast was superb. Lobby & bar area was amazing. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Central for all sights with the tour bus & boat tours stopping just outside the hotel. We would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Läget!!!

Posted 14-Apr-2015

Great hotel close to Berlin City centre

Posted 13-Apr-2015
Pros: Position. Attitude of the staff. Atrium area.
Cons: Provide a lighter, Continental type breakfast at a more affordable price.
Location: Walking distance to the city centre. Most major sights close by - museums, Berlin cathedral, Brandenburg gate, Reichstag, etc.
Efficient but friendly staff. Striking atrium area. Breakfast very good but on the pricey side.
