“Good base for visiting Berlin”
This hotel has everything you would need for a short break, very handy having the U-bahn right outside, the transport network is excellent in Berlin. Also loads of places to eat and drink nearby. Only negative is the room was a little small but then you don't spend much time in it anyway.
“Excellent hôtel, très propre. Service impeccable”
Excellente prestations. La chambre est très propre et confortable. Le métro au pied de l'hôtel. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Personnel professionnel et sympathique. J'y retourne les yeux fermés.
“Very impressed”
The hotel was very clean, and the staff very friendly and approachable. The location is ideal, right next to the U-Bahn and the features of the room were impressive. We did not sample the breakfast so can not comment, however I would definitely recommend the hotel to other travellers.
“Very comfortable and well located for the U bahn”
Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Hotel City Ost. For the price we were very surprised at the cleanliness and comfort of our room. Air conditioning worked fine and the bathroom was of a good size. The room also had good blackout curtains and we didn't notice any noise problems throughout the night. Breakfast was great value, although we only tried it once as there are a number of cafes in the same street. The staff were helpful and friendly (and generally spoke good English). Would defintely recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation.
“great location and great value for money”
A great loaction the U bahn is just outside the hotel which takes you staright to Alexanderplatz - so easy to get around! Lots of restaurants and bars in the area which offer great value for money. In the heart of East Berlin and lots of atmosphere. The rooms are lovely, with great showers- would go back any day!

Good place to stay. Subway outside so very easy to travel to and from.
“Great Hotel”
Ideal location right outside Samariterstrasse station. Great restaurants from all over the world nearby. Hotel was very clean and modern. (loved the LCD tv on the wall). Only disappointment with the room is that there was no kettle and shaving socket. Would use Best Western again!

Outstanding value. Great location with public transport at your door. Interesting neighborhood. Great service from warm caring staff. I will stay again next time in Berlin.
“Great experience - I would stay here again”
The hotel is in a great location - not central, but about 10 steps from the front door to a subway station and we could get to the major attractions within 20 minutes. Very clean, bright, and comfortable rooms. It's on a major street, but with the windows closed, we didn't hear any street noise, and I am a very light sleeper! We never heard other hotel guests coming and going - at one point I wondered if anyone else was staying there. Turns out, our floor was almost completely full, but the hotel is just very solid and quiet. We would be out sightseeing until late at night and always felt very safe returning to the hotel, regardless of time. We didn't pay extra for the breakfast, but there is a bakery and a supermarket next door. If I had to find a "con", it would be that the shower stall overflowed everytime we used it - the water pressure is so strong that the drain can't keep up with it so it would always overflow. Definitely not a deal-breaker and I would recommend this hotel 100%.
“Excellent place to stay”
We have just came back from our 2 week travel from Europe and this hotel was our favorite place to stay. Modern and very clean.
