Lovely Room & Location, but a cold room!
This hostel location was three stops down from main plaza, but there are plenty of great places to eat and drink nearby. There is even a little cafe across the street to grab breakfast and coffee in the morning. The key pickup times were convenient, but it was a little disappointing to not have anywhere to store our bags before or after check-in/out. The whole building is only three rooms + the shared kitchen and bathroom area, so it was a quiet stay. Wifi and key deposit are not included in the paid price, so make sure to bring about $10 in euros in cover the costs. Our room was large with an excellent closet and warm bedding. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics for cooking and the 1 & 1/2 bath meant there was always a free bathroom. However, at night the radiator heat was rarely running and our room was way too cold for just one little blanket. We spent three nights here and one night we went to bed in half of our layers we had brought with us.

Overall it's ok, given the reasonable price. I think the property owner has a few units to let out. For the unit that I got, it's a 5 floor walk up with luggage...without any lifts. It would be better for the property owners to include this piece of information...especially when the elderly and pregnant women who may be potential guests.

Too dark to read but why hang out in your room....
It was no-frills, inexpensive, not for every taste. But it is clean, there is a kitchen, and you are sharing a bathroom, but it's not a big place, so there is unlikely to be a crowd. The neighborhood and the convenience of travel are the draw. There is a three-minute limit on hot showers, which some will find annoying. I quickly got used to it. The biggest pain for me was ecological lighting in the bedroom, which in practice means.....too dark to read. Also €1 a day for wifi, slightly annoying but acceptable. But as I said, it was overall a bargain.

amazing value for money
This is the second time I have stayed here. Clean, fresh and lovely rooms. The area has amazing restaurants and facilities including the s-Bahn direct to the airport. It's a shared bathroom and kitchen which is fine for the price your paying. Now with an extra toilet. I think there are 3 other bedrooms that share the bathroom but I never have an issue. I can't recomend it more!

5 Floor Walk-Up!
Great location in a hip neighborhood, clean rooms, clean facilities. No reception, so you have to coordinate the time of your check-in so someone is there, and you need to arrive within 15 minutes of your designated time or else they will leave and reschedule a time with you, even though the listing says they do check-in between 2pm-8pm. There wasn't any warning that we would have a room on the 5th floor of a walk-up building. We got quite the workout going up and down the stairs, especially with all of our luggage. There isn't a sitting area outside of your bedroom like the photos suggest. The "hotel" is actually a few apartments that were purchased by a guy many years back. He rents out the rooms in the apartments as "hotel" rooms. So you arrive to check in at one location, then are walked a few blocks to whichever apartment is available in the area.

Everything was fine. Big room, 15mins tram/train/subway from city. Nice neighborhood. It's a real neighborhood, a share apartment. We share the bathroom with other guest, the bathroom was wet all the time. Bad: 5 mins hot water for shower ONLY!!!

A++++ - Absolutely brilliant apartment, area and s
I was so happy with my stay here. First of all the apartment was clean, fresh and comfortable. The area is great with loads to do and affordable food with the U&S Bahn a matter of minutes away. There is also wi-fi in the apartment which was a god send. I was greeted by the lovely and friendly staff who showed me around. The bathroom is shared but there were only 3 apartments in my section so your never waiting long if at all. This is clean and very adequate. There is a communal kitchen with a washing machine and I even had my own shelve in the fridge. The food was so cheap while I was out that I never needed to use it. Another bonus is that your on the same line as Schoenefeld airport, one stop from Mauerpark where you can shop at the flee market and sing your heart out at the karaoke on a Sunday. I can't recommend it more. Two good places to eat were Sahara on the next road. Great Mediterranean food. 8 Euros for a big plate. It beat me both times I ate there. Also on a Sunday there was a breakfast buffet with hot options you can order and a glass of prosecco all for 12 Euros. This was at a place called Schall & Rauch. Both these places are on Gleimstrasse. Also in the are is a great cafe called Q-Tea that specialises in cheesecake! Yummy! This is on Wichertstr. A++++ all the way!

U-bahn und S-bahn Stationen sind in unmittelbarae Nähe, so auch Cafes und Restaurants mit einem guten Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis.Die Wohnräume sind Teil einer Wohnung. Küche und Bad werden gemeinsam benutzt. Ich wohnte in einer Wohnung im Erdgeschoss mit vier Wohnräumen. In der Küche war ein Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach den sich alle Parteien teilen mussten.

the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and toilets were roomy and clean Real unpleasantness: potential customers are warned about late-arrival fees on the site, but with no amount specified; "late arrival" meant after 6:00, as we learnt later on by email. Our original flight from Frankfurht was overbooked and the replacement flight to Berlin was due 4h later: the owner agreed to meet us at 8:00 against 50e cash! Then, our replacement flight was cancelled (along with all other flights from Berlin!) due to weather conditions: the owner simply said there'd be noone to open the door to us, refused to leave the key with anyone, so we had to find emergency accommodation while on the train to Berlin! No-amount-specified "Late arrival fees" are mentioned on the site for sure, but nothing about "nobody there + rooms prepaid + no refund" if you turn up later (11:00, in our case: not that late!!!)

Very good and low price close to Alexanderplatz
It was a very quiet place with friendly service. Very close to U bahn only 3 stops away from Alexanderplatz👍 The kitchen was great to use for breakfast. And nearby at Kastanienalle is biergarten Prater the oldest one in Berlin. Very good low price for 3 nights in Berlin

Ombyggd lägenhet med delad dusch/toalett. Mycket begränsade tider för incheckning. Ingen reception. Lite märklig incheckning men vänlig. Man får nycklar och sköter sig själv. Stora något sterila rum med hög kvalitet på de möbler som fanns. Modernistiskt. Ohyggligt välstädat och ordningssamt. Märkte knappt att det fanns fler gäster. Nära till S-Bahn och -Bahn. Direktlinje till Schönenfeldt. Grönt område, bilar måste ha tillstånd att köra in. Barnvänligt. På helgen tränade pappor och barn cykling och rullskridskor på de glest trafikerade gatorna. Bra för familjer som vill ha eget hushåll. Annars finns det mängder av olika typer av serveringar i närheten. Ett tjugotal bara på den korta vägen till stationen. Trakten anses som en av de lugnare i centrala Berlin. Lite lurigt att hitta porten vid en snabb blick nummer 22 ligger på andra sidan av gatan än det de flesta först tror. Ingen WiFi och dålig täckning för Telia kan vara jobbigt.

Tolles gemütliches Zimmer im Berliner Altbau
Das Zimmer ist behaglich aber ausreichend mit einem stabilen Bett mit guter Matratze und Tisch mit zwei Stühlen ausgestattet. Allgemein ist das Zimmer so wie die gesamte Wohnung sehr sauber und für ein Berliner Altbau gut gepflegt. Man kann hier den untypischen Charme des Berliner Altbaus genießen. Die Lage ist super mit guter U-Bahn Anbindung ins Zentrum. Die Wohnung liegt an einer Straße mit vielen Cafés und Restaurants, Spätkauf ideal um den Abend mit einem Bier oder Cocktail ausklingen zu lassen. Die Umgebung ist ruhig und sicher. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und aufgeschlossen geben einen Tipps. Preis Leistungsverhältnis passt! Alles in allem ist es eine super Unterkunft um ein paar Tage in Berlin zu verbringen und mal nicht in dem üblichen Tourismus Zentren wie Kuhadamm unter den Massen zu verbringen.

Nettes Appartement mitten im Prenzlauer Berg
Nahverkehrstechnisch sehr gut angebunden, kleinere Lebensmittelläden und Kneipen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wenige Gehminuten zur Schönhauser Allee, dort viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Man ist aber sowohl mit dem Auto als auch den öffenlichen Verkehrsmitteln schnell am Alex oder am Ku-Damm.

センターから若干離れた地区にある、地元色あふれる地域といった感じでしょうか。 近くにはスーパーや酒屋、レストランからバーをはじめ映画館まであり大変に生活感がありました。肝心のお宿も清潔でしたが、やはり共同バストイレと5階までエレベーターなし、というのがなかなか厳しかったです。

Jeg kan helt bestemt anbefale dette hotel! Det er billigt, og derfor ikke super fancy. Men der er rent og pænt (der bliver gjort grundigt rent hver dag), værelserne er fine og beliggenheden er helt i top - tæt på U-bahn og hyggelige shoppinggader og loppemarkeder. Derudover virker det meget lokalt med tyske turister og en hotel-ejer, der nærmest ikke kan tale engelsk.

En general todo muy bien . El único pero que le pondría es el pulsador de la ducha al que hay que apretar cada 5 segundos. Está muy bien que este dosificado pero el tiempo es muy corto y le tienes que dar 20 veces para ducharte, un poquito exagerado.

Unser kurzer Urlaub in Berlin war super! Das Apartment hatte eine einfache Ausstattung, aber das hat für uns genau gereicht. In der Küche war alles vorhanden, was nötig war um jeden Morgen zu frühstücken. Die restlichen Mahlzeiten haben wir dann in den nahegelegenen Restaurants gehabt, die alle sehr gut waren! Brötchen haben wir immer beim Café auf der anderen Straßenseite geholt und generell fand ich es sehr angenehm nicht in irgendeinem langweiligen Hotel in einer Touristengegend zu wohnen, sondern genau so wie die Berliner das eben tun...

Geweldige buurt, zeer propere kamer
De buurt is geweldig, leuke cafés, restaurantjes, winkeltjes, veel groen (Mauerpark een aanrader!). De straat waarin het appartement ligt, is heel rustig, maar vlakbij is de buurt erg levendig. Het openbaar vervoer is ook dichtbij (S- en U-Bahn). Wie van fietsen houdt, moet een fiets huren in Berlijn! Huurfietsen vind je overal. Het is er vlak en er zijn best veel fietspaden. Het appartement is dus heel goed gelegen en lijkt pas gerenoveerd. Het is ook heel schoon, de bedden zijn wat hard maar wel goed. Er zijn twee badkamers, 1 met lavabo, een andere met douche. We zaten in een appartement met 4 kamers. 1 douche is dan wel wat weinig, maar ons appartement was nooit volledig bezet, dus dat viel wel mee. We hadden ook internet (tegen 1EUR extra per dag), maar ons appartement lag naast de receptie dus misschien is het niet mogelijk om in elk appartement internet te hebben. Van lawaai hadden wij helemaal geen last. We komen hier zeker terug!

Ich war mit einer Freundin in Berlin und wir wurden im Appartement freundlich begrüsst, uns wurden alle Räume und Möglichkeiten gezeigt und nach Wünschen gefragt. Das Zimmer, Bad und die wirklich gut ausgestattete Küche (Kaffee, Milch, Tee, Salz, Essig Öl....sind schon da) sind sehr sauber, gut geheizt und trotzdem ökologisch bedacht. Extradecken für verfrorene Damen sind im Schrank, die Handtücher sind groß genug und ich hab die schön hell abgeschliffenen und warmen Dielen mit nackten Füßen sehr genossen. Überhaupt ist alles in hellem Holz gehalten, was den Räumen eine freundliche und helle Atmosphäre verleiht.. Von unseren Nachbarn haben wir nichts gehört und sogar die direkt nebenan befindliche Kneipe war nicht zu hören. Wir haben das Appartement schon fleißig weiterempfohlen und hoffen, dass es das noch lange gibt, damit wir wieder dort Station machen können. DANKE!

Un passage incontournable à Apartment Schulz !
Mon petit ami et moi souhaitions visiter la ville de Berlin à petits prix car nous sommes étudiants. Nous avions donc épluché les propositions de chambres sur Hotels.com et nous avions principalement sélectionné Apartment Schulz pour son prix attractif comparé aux autres. Nous avons été étonnés par notre réservation qui semblait modeste autant sur le site que sur les photos... L'accueil a été ponctuel, chaleureux; la chambre est très propre, spacieuse, lumineuse, avec un lit très confortable (+ TV, meubles de rangement, bureau...etc). Nous avons été ravis de découvrir la salle de bain dite commune très propre et moderne, ainsi qu'une cuisine (accès libre à tous les clients d'Apartment Schulz) très propre et fonctionnelle. Le quartier est calme et proche d'une station de l'U-Bahn et de l'S-bahn (très pratique), et à proximité nous avons découvert une multitude de restaurants pour tous les goûts et pas chers dans lesquelles vous pouvez aussi déguster les spécialités berlinoises ! Bref, nous avons rarement été aussi satisfaits de tous ces services, il est donc important de vous en faire part, Apartment Schulz mérite d'être connu ! Nous vous le conseillons grandement !

Nyt, rent værelse i dejligt område
vi fik en god modtagelse af værten, der orienterede os om parkeringsforhold og priser i området. Herefter var det nemt at finde en gratis plads. Værelset var meget rent, pænt og nyistandsat. Det samme var det fælles køkken og bad. Vi havde et rigtig dejligt ophold midt i Berlins mest spændende og charmerende områder. Vi har været der to gange og kommer helt sikkert igen. Rigtig godt sted til billig pris.

Günstig und gut
Wer eine einfache, günstige, angenehme Unterkunft mit Anbindung sowohl an den Schönefelder als auch den Tegeler Flughafen sucht, ist hier richtig aufgehoben. Ich hatte ein sauberes, ruhiges Zimmer mit einfacher Einrichtung und Blick auf den Innenhof, sowohl das Gemeinschaftsbad als auch die Gemeinschaftsküche waren sauber und zweckmäßig ausgestattet. Man muß zu einem ganz bestimmten, individuell mit dem Betreiber ausgemachten Zeitpunkt einchecken und wartet dann vor einem ganz normalen Mietshaus auf Einlaß - eine bediente Rezeption gibt es nicht. Das Personal war aber ausgesprochen freundlich, und bei Fragen kann man jederzeit anrufen. Gleich um die Ecke ist die S- und U-Bahn-Station Schönhauser Allee samt Einkaufscenter, rund um das Hostel gibt es zahlreiche günstige Kneipen und Imbisse. Von den vielen Billig-Unterkünften, in denen ich schon übernachtet habe, definitiv eine der angenehmsten.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié mon séjour de 2 nuits au Appartement Schulz. J'ai été très bien accueilli par les hôtes (qui m'ont assisté avec mes déplacements en ville) ainsi qu'ils m'ont donné des conseils pratiques. L'endroit idéal pour séjourner dans un budget raisonnable. Quartier très cool...Transport (S+U, bus) environ 6mn. à pied de l'appart ... des cafés / bars et petits restos pas loin. Un stade d'athlétisme (pour ceux qui aiment faire du sport matinal) ouvert à tous. Je recommande vivement ...

Located in Prenzlauer Berg near S+U-Bahn stations and tram stops with excellent connections to airport Tegel, to the center and to the eastern parts of Berlin. Plenty of nice restaurants, cafes and shopping possibilities immediately nearby. A simple, but nice, cheap, and very clean accommodation. No attendance all day round, but the personnel can be contacted any time, and they are responsive and friendly. I recommend warmly for anyone, who appreciates more independent living than in a hotel.

Man bor på et værelse i en lejlighed og deler badeværelse og velindrettet køkken med de andre gæster. Der er ikke nogen reception, man skal ringe til dem når man gerne vil komme. Værelset møbleret fra IKEA, praktisk og komfortabelt og der var Wifi på værelset. Alt i alt vældig fint sted, dog skal man lige være obs på det med at der ikke er nogen reception

Enkelt, rent och mycket trevligt boende! Detta boende var prisvärt och fungerade bra på alla sätt. Nära "public transports" så att man når olika delar av Berlin utan problem. Boendet har ett trevlig läge där du även hittar god mat med mera.
