Is what it says on the tin. Cheap bed

Posted 5-May-2014
The hostel was really cheap and was good for a cheap stag do. For a hostel it was alright. Located near a train station. The rooms were clean with a shower and bathroom. Need to take your own bed covers though. Staff were helpful, free pool table and a cheap bar for drinks. Suited our needs

Close to the city centre, good value for money.

Posted 20-Apr-2014
Pros: friendly, helpful, English speaking staff
Cons: Coffee making facilities in rooms or small fridge.
Location: Lots of historical sites near by, such as Cold War sites and WW2 memorials. Lots of Berlin Wall section still remain.
Friendly and welcoming staff, good German style breakfast (all you can eat). Tube station within 5mins walk, bar on site. Very child friendly, karaoke on Tuesdays.

Basic but cheap

Posted 18-Jan-2014
Pros: Location, price and friendly staff.
Cons: Noise insulation!
Location: Alexander Platz is about a half an hour walk away and there are a number of U and S Bahn stations close by. Trendy Kreuzberg is also very close.
OK, so the style and décor might be a little 'Communist' but this basic hotel does what it says on the tin. It's by no means luxury, but being a reasonable distance from town and the all night bars in the Kreuzberg district, it suited our needs. I think this large hotel mainly caters for student and school trips and the thin walls means that it can be a little noisy at times as well as a bit of a queue at breakfast but we we're out most of the time so it didn't bother us. The place has a bar and a few other bits to offer but is far from luxury but the room was warm and cleaned daily. I found it very good value for money and would recommend it to anyone (except my parents who are far too fussy for their own good!)

Great for the Price!

Posted 9-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
We had doubts walking up to it and going to the lobby but when we walked into our room it was great! Very clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was like a 3 star hotel in Europe. Nothing extra but a a nice clean stay with a great location.

Good price for a decent hostel close to Ostbahnhof

Posted 3-Nov-2013
Good value for money but our room was in a block with what seems were newer rooms. My friends were in another block with older rooms which were not to the same standard. I was really happy with the experience. The staff were great and I would stay here again.

Basic but clean in great position.

Posted 17-Jul-2013
Pros: It's position and availability of food and drink in hotel and surrounding area.
Cons: No complaints at all.
Location: Quiet, but so easy to access all areas of Berlin.
Easy to get to from Tegel. Handy for S and U bahn. Close to Alexanderplatz and several former border crossing points. Couple of fast food outlets nearby. Rooms basic but clean. Shower excellent. Coffee, tea, beer etc available 24 hours from machines. Staff excellent and friendly. Cash point outside. Bar in hotel quite good. Pool table next to bar. Small TV in rooms (free). Surrounding area fairly quiet. If you're taking the wife for a romantic weekend, go somewhere else, but if you are intending to see Berlin, you won't find better for the price. Rooms very secure.

Hostel more than hotel

Posted 27-May-2013
Pros: The bar in the hotel is amazing and the guests there are from all over the world.
Cons: The single rooms are TINY for the price
Location: Eastern part of Mitte Berlin, lots of graffiti, but still safe
For the most part, this is a hostel more than a hotel. However, the staff, in reception and the bar, are amazing. I decided for my first time staying in a hostel to get a single room because I was very nervous. It was very tiny for the price I paid, but it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Not only do they have rooms for groups, but they even have "family rooms" for families. This particular hotel is located in the eastern part of Germany, though in the Mitte part of Berlin. There is graffiti everywhere. Do not be alarmed. It's actually pretty safe there! Loved every minute of my trip, even with it raining the entire time.
