Pros: Cheap-ish. Quick processing for last minute booking.
Cons: We didn't get any towels when we checked in. I think we were supposed to?
Location: We were looking for Berlin's street art - and it was everywhere. Right where we wanted to be.
I wasn't sure about staying in a hostel...but my boyfriend and I needed a place to stay for the night before an early flight. A quick search later we were booked. We were placed in a room with six beds but ultimately no one else was placed in our room. Score! We got the privacy of a hotel room as a hostel price. Just got lucky I guess.

Basic, clean hostel facilities

Posted 21-Aug-2014
As far as hostels go, this place was clean and my bed was comfortable. It's your run of the mill hostel stay, but centrally located and clean facilities. We ere comfy and slept well -bring your ear plugs and eye mask if you're a light sleeper. Our room overlooked the busy Kopenicker Strasse. There is a great little local cafe across the street that serves a good German breakfast if you're not for paying for the hostel breakfast.

Family hostel

Posted 5-Aug-2014
If your up for a comfy stay with friendly staff and a very good social bar then this place is not for you. To start off it took a mere 3 hours just to check in, once we got to our sauna, oh i mean room which was no bigger than the average laudry, we layed down to rest on the beds and thats the moment i realised they had replaced the beds with concrete slabs, so i found myself sleeping on the floorboards the entire week. And dont evan start on the bathroom, having to your business with the door open as there is about a 3 inch gap between the toilet seat and the back of the door. Ontop of all this, waking up to jackhammers and grinders 6am every morning as the hostels carpark is under construction.

Is what it says on the tin. Cheap bed

Posted 5-May-2014
The hostel was really cheap and was good for a cheap stag do. For a hostel it was alright. Located near a train station. The rooms were clean with a shower and bathroom. Need to take your own bed covers though. Staff were helpful, free pool table and a cheap bar for drinks. Suited our needs

Close to the city centre, good value for money.

Pros: friendly, helpful, English speaking staff
Cons: Coffee making facilities in rooms or small fridge.
Location: Lots of historical sites near by, such as Cold War sites and WW2 memorials. Lots of Berlin Wall section still remain.
Friendly and welcoming staff, good German style breakfast (all you can eat). Tube station within 5mins walk, bar on site. Very child friendly, karaoke on Tuesdays.

best price and pleasant staff

Lucky that I was able to use entire dormitory room by myself with the price of one bed. Maybe because it was winter time.

Basic but cheap

Posted 18-Jan-2014
Pros: Location, price and friendly staff.
Cons: Noise insulation!
Location: Alexander Platz is about a half an hour walk away and there are a number of U and S Bahn stations close by. Trendy Kreuzberg is also very close.
OK, so the style and décor might be a little 'Communist' but this basic hotel does what it says on the tin. It's by no means luxury, but being a reasonable distance from town and the all night bars in the Kreuzberg district, it suited our needs. I think this large hotel mainly caters for student and school trips and the thin walls means that it can be a little noisy at times as well as a bit of a queue at breakfast but we we're out most of the time so it didn't bother us. The place has a bar and a few other bits to offer but is far from luxury but the room was warm and cleaned daily. I found it very good value for money and would recommend it to anyone (except my parents who are far too fussy for their own good!)

Great for the Price!

We had doubts walking up to it and going to the lobby but when we walked into our room it was great! Very clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was like a 3 star hotel in Europe. Nothing extra but a a nice clean stay with a great location.
