The hotel smells and needs its carpet shampooed, especially at the restaurant and hallways. Rooms facing the inner courtyard are noisy because that's where the garbage cans are. But the worst part was that I got Salmonella food poisoning after eating the hotel's breakfast. That just totally ruined my vacation in Bergen!

Staff pleasant and helpful, but only one person on desk and serving at the bar not good. Breakfast superb. Location very good. Rooms need upgrading, cracked tiles and smell in bathroom. Downstairs decor and comfort good.

The staff here were very kind, helpful, and professional. The hotel itself was walkable to shopping, bars, restaurants, and public transportation. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is in a great location in the city centre and the breakfast is good, but the rooms are tiny and room service did not bother to at least make the bed.

Not worth the price I paid for
Booked a queen room, but the room is tiny. It's like a single room and squeezed in a queen bed. When I called the reception, they told me their rooms were full and I checked in pretty late (past 7pm). If I wanted to change, I'll have to wait till next day afternoon. Since I was staying only for 2 nights, I bear with the little room. Had to request for kettle too. Breakfast was just average. Only the location is good, walkable from train station and the airport bus is close by.

Best part of the hotel was the INCREDIBLE breakfast buffet. The selection of foods was incredible. Enough to fill you up so that you can skip lunch ! Great location to the train (streetcar) station and downtown. Good value for the dollar considering it is Norway. Room (very well sized) was perfectly set up with everything I needed and was exceptionally clean. Easy check in process, great communication by staff. No issues and would highly recommend to any traveller.

The property is at a great location. Super easy to get to the hotel from the airport and all the main attractions are at walking distance. The rooms are as on the pics, small but with all you need if you’re there just to sleep. Now, the best of this hotel is the breakfast (plenty of options and excellent quality).

The rooms were rather small but functional for a 3-day trip to Bergen. The breakfast was really good. The hotel is located close to all Bergen sights, transportation hubs, dining places, shopping, etc. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and courteous.

Breakfast is amazing! This hotel lost a star because the rooms are pretty dated and the beds weren't quite as comfortable as other scandics I've stayed, but for a one night stay close to the train and bus station it is great.

Value Plus Location
The first impression we got on arrival was the friendliness of the staff.Thats such a big thing when you have just travelled to get there.The breakfast layout was phenominal, easily the best breakie experience of any trip we have had. Room was ok, maybe needed a touch of rejuvenation in places. Beds sadly, were incredibly muchy and over soft, so wasnt easy getting a good nights sleep. The lobby area has a fantastic dining lounge and comfy reception area complete with a mini snack type shop. Location is second to none, absolutely perfect!! Its a 3 min walk to the light railway service which takes you back and forth from the airport, 10 mins walk to Bryggen, and transport links are everywhere to the hotel. A gorgeous lake just 2 mins walk, surrounded by Museums, concert hall, places to dine etc. The value was really decent when you factor everything in. If we had a nicer bed, i think we would have hit the jackpot.

The hotel is very noisy (street noise). I couldn't sleep because of the noise and also the curtains were not covering enough the street lighting: so noise and strong street lights. Also, very important the hotel was mentioning that it has a gym which is not!!! They just prose you to go for free to a training place (not even an actual gym) which is hundreds of meters away from the hotel. This is not convenient at all given the mainly rainy weather in Bergen. I only book hotels that has gyms on them so this is a big lie to me. Please either do not mention that the hotel has a gym or at least explain that customers has to go to another location!

While the rooms are small, the location of the property can't be beat. To start, it's a couple of blocks from the light rail that goes to the airport so it's easy to get to after a long flight. Beautiful parks, a wide variety of restaurants and shopping are all walking distance from the hotel. In the morning, the free breakfast includes a wide variety of hot foods, cold foods, and just about everything that you could want to start the day.
