“Great experience!”
Great experience! Basic but clean comfy room. The rica had the best breakfast we could have hoped for! Service was very helpful and friendly.
“Best Norwegian breakfast”
Great central location. Reasonable walk from the Hurtigruten terminal towing a bag (maybe 900m). Rooms are small but nicely appointed and comfortable. Quiet. Excellent location if you are catching the train or bus out - 10 mins walk with bag to the station along flat path. Also a number of supermarkets near the station to pick up food etc. Staff excellent and speak very good english. Breakfast is wonderful - so much choice and nicely laid out. Really enjoyes this stay.
“Good bang for buck”
Hotel was lovely. Breakfast was lovely. The plug in the bathtub didn't work but there was plenty of hot water and the room was huge. The carpet was a little stained at the front entrance because of muddy boots but still, all in all, a great deal. Super duper close to the train station (approx 10 min on foot towing 20kilos of luggage).

Hotel and rooms were clean.Breakfast very good. Very helpful staff. It was in a good position for transport links and for walks in the parks. I am pleased to recommend.
“Great breakfast buffet”
This is a good hotel, especially close to the university, but also close to downtown and the fish market. The breakfast buffet is extensive and interesting.
“Clean and comfortable hotel”
The Rica Hotel in Bergen has obviously undergone a fairly recent refit. It all looks very shiny and well maintained. Our room was very well cleaned every day - we stayed for 6 days. Towels and toiletries were frequently replaced. There is a great breakfast buffet with lots of choice. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel but it looked good. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful and kept plying us with coffees. The location is very central and a good base for walking round Bergen. Lots of business travellers seemed to be staying there.
“Review of Rica Hotel Bergen”
Arrived in the evening from Bergen Train station. It was easy to find from train station and its only about 5 minutes walk from the train station. It is also very close from the city. Very big room for that price. Plasma TV and Free Internet made it even better. I would stay there again.

Well located in town. Small but tidy rooms. Excellent breakfast included in the price. Not too much expensive for the scandinavian average. Perfect for short stays. Poor atention in the front desk.
“Wait until 9 AM or later to enjoy the breakfast buffet to avoid crows.”
The breakfast buffet was excellent but was marred by extreme overcrowding esp. when the tour bus crowds descended usually early between 07:00 to 9:00 AM. Room tiny but comfy. Price reasonable for expensive Norway. Near airport bus top at nearby luxury Hotel Norge.
