Relatively cheap, but not valuable for the costPosted 23-Aug-2014
Slanted floor gave me a feel like in a ship. Just one employee worked, and it made the wating line long. Small room, very noisy enviornment, and no thin curtain. I do not understand why many use this hotel.

An ok hotel in the Bergen centrePosted 20-Aug-2014
Pros: Friendly staff and nice location.
Cons: The amenities in the rooms (there is space in the room for a slightly bigger bed).
This is an ok hotel given the hotel rates for Norway standards. There are several clubs in the street downstairs so it can get a noisy at least in the reception area but not necessarily in the rooms upstairs. Staff are friendly and polite and the overall impression that the hotel gave me was that it was more like a youth/student oriented hotel. The bed was narrow but I guess this is common in other hotels in Norway. They do provide a simple breakfast (sandwich, fruit, juice) in a bag outside your room.

OK Hotel small room too expensivePosted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: Nothing especially.
Cons: INTERNET conectivity. The room is only a bed, a desk and the bathroom, nothing more.
The hotel is ok and clean, nothing special. My ro was located across the road of the reception which made the wireless internet unuseable. Very anoying since I needed it.

False advertisement...Posted 17-Aug-2014
Cons: Be honest ! Provide a better service!
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with this hotel.. I believed they overbooked their hotel.. They placed us in different building on the top of a PUB?? Very noise.. Also, one VERY small room with only one tiny window which I could smell every cigarret smoked ion the pub bellow us.. I was really disappointed with this location. I highly recommend you to book another hotel in Bergen but NEVER this one. I usually do not write reviews.. But I don't want another family having the same situation I went through.. Choose another hotel.. You will be better off.. You will be paying a "lot of money"for terrible experience.. Does not worth it!

Pros: Price better than others. Close to city center.
Cons: 3rd person bed was flimsy. Minimal TV channels. Could have a news channel.
Location: Close to city center. Would recommend to budget-conscious friends staying short time.
Hotel was ok for short visit when you don't expect to spend much time in hotel.

Hotel in the middle of townPosted 11-Aug-2014
Hotel staff where horribly unfriendly, they walked in without knocking more than once, couldn't store my bag safely anywhere and my room was directly below a loud crap pub. There are better located, priced and conditioned all around. Would not stay again

Nice hotel within walking distance to everything.Posted 29-Jul-2014
Pros: Very personable, knowledgable staff.
Location: Everything in Bergen is within walking distance of this hotel.
We enjoyed our stay. Nice room, larger than most of the others during our Baltic trip. Adequate bath facilities.

Good location. Some improvements could be made.Posted 27-Jul-2014
Good location for the price. Breakfast was described as light turned out to be a sandwich, unripe pear and small bottle if juice. Staff gave conflicting info on the wifi, breakfast and our booking information.

Great location, but loud disco music until 3amPosted 22-Jul-2014
This hotel is located above a pub and a very loud disco. We were on the first floor and the techno music from the club woke us up at midnight on Saturday, it was so loud that one could literally feel the bass rocking the room. On Sunday night it was karaoke, and while it wasn't so disruptive, it was still loud enough to wake me occasionally. That being said, the location is perfect, walking distance from the Bryggen old town, fish market, university, main bus station, etc. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was fine although the water for the showers didn't stay hot for long. The inclusive breakfast is a sandwich w/ fruit and juice, not fancy but decent. The hotel also has free wi-fi which worked fine, and the TV had a couple of English channels. I'm summary, the price and location were great, but I don't need to hear the bass drop at midnight during my vacation.

Cheap but with a pricePosted 21-Jul-2014
Cons: Outside noise.
While the staff was nice and the room was adequate, this hotel, like many of the hotels in this part of Bergen, was really loud. If you like bad, loud contemporary European dance music, this place is for you. In July, our room was fairly warm without air conditioning but we could not open the windows to cool down due to the outside noise. On the upside, the staff was accommodating and the location excellent. But with the price comes the noise tradeoff.
