Central Location.

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Pros: Good price for a central location.
Cons: The shower could have a base that stops the water flooding the entire bathroom, this element of the room was quite primitive!
Location: Excellent location right in the center of town, so you can walk to everything!
Great location in the centre of Bergen, close to everything including Foyen mountain. A bit noisy on a Friday and Saturday night with all the pubs outside however our room was street-side so a room at the back of the hotel may have been less noise. All things considered, it was a good hotel at a good price and ideal for a short stay such as ours! It's very clean and tidy so we can certainly recommend it! Alan & Carolyn.

Travelling through Norway

Posted 15-Oct-2014
Location: The location was ideal, just away from the main square but near quite a few bars and restaurants
My stay consisted of 3 days in Bergen travelling from Oslo. The hotel was £50 a night and the room was basic but more than adequate, it included a tv and bathroom. There was little noise from the street below.

Overnight stay

Posted 26-Sep-2014
Pros: Location. Coffee in the lobby.
Cons: Need to improve bath room and door.
Location: Near to major places in center of Bergen.
Convenient location. It is OK for an over night stay. Simple breakfast delivered to the room in picnic bag. Complementary coffee at lobby was good. This time, room was facing street and noisy due to pub below and bath room was old. We know Norway is very expensive country so accepted all as OK.

This isn't the hotel...

Posted 8-Sep-2014
So we check in at 9pm in the rain and first off this is not the hotel. It's a sketchy green P-Hotels sign in front of a bar. After checking in we are directed to another building called Bergen Travel Hotel on top of a very loud bar. They're in the middle of a fire alarm going off and then I enter what appears to be an entrance to the bar with a rickety elevator reeking of vodka cranberry going to the rooms. The room itself was small, seemed clean enough but it was a hostel and not a hotel. There was no fitted sheet, just a sheet over the mattress. The bathroom had generic airplane soap and the shower leaked everywhere, the blowdryer didn't work and the wifi didn't work. The "breakfast" was a bag of sandwiches and unripe pears hung on our door in the morning. In addition, the poor woman who checked us in at 9pm was still working when we left at 11am.

Central but noisey

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: It was close to the center of the city and within easy walking distance of the harbour.
Cons: Reliability of the lift.
Lift broke down twice while there and had to carry bags up stairs. Breakfast was the same every day could have done with a different sandwich each day.

Relatively cheap, but not valuable for the cost

Posted 23-Aug-2014
Slanted floor gave me a feel like in a ship. Just one employee worked, and it made the wating line long. Small room, very noisy enviornment, and no thin curtain. I do not understand why many use this hotel.

An ok hotel in the Bergen centre

Posted 20-Aug-2014
Pros: Friendly staff and nice location.
Cons: The amenities in the rooms (there is space in the room for a slightly bigger bed).
This is an ok hotel given the hotel rates for Norway standards. There are several clubs in the street downstairs so it can get a noisy at least in the reception area but not necessarily in the rooms upstairs. Staff are friendly and polite and the overall impression that the hotel gave me was that it was more like a youth/student oriented hotel. The bed was narrow but I guess this is common in other hotels in Norway. They do provide a simple breakfast (sandwich, fruit, juice) in a bag outside your room.

OK Hotel small room too expensive

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: Nothing especially.
Cons: INTERNET conectivity. The room is only a bed, a desk and the bathroom, nothing more.
The hotel is ok and clean, nothing special. My ro was located across the road of the reception which made the wireless internet unuseable. Very anoying since I needed it.

False advertisement...

Posted 17-Aug-2014
Cons: Be honest ! Provide a better service!
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with this hotel.. I believed they overbooked their hotel.. They placed us in different building on the top of a PUB?? Very noise.. Also, one VERY small room with only one tiny window which I could smell every cigarret smoked ion the pub bellow us.. I was really disappointed with this location. I highly recommend you to book another hotel in Bergen but NEVER this one. I usually do not write reviews.. But I don't want another family having the same situation I went through.. Choose another hotel.. You will be better off.. You will be paying a "lot of money"for terrible experience.. Does not worth it!
