Less on value and service more on aesthetics
Booked room with breakfast but the staff was demanding money for breakfast. Didnt let me checkin for nearly 30 minutes. Staff not friendly.
Toilet did not flush properly. Television was a washout, seemed like it was picked from a junk yard.
Not much breakfast choice. Hotel seems high on aesthetics and less on value and service. Avoid.

Dear Suresh,
At the outset we would like to thank you for choosing to stay with us. With regards to the breakfast issue, there seems to be a technical glitch with Expedia which is why the confirmation voucher mentioned breakfast even though we do not have a breakfast inclusive rate. We had to cross check with Expedia and hence the delay of around 10-15 minutes only to complete the check in formalities. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused on account of the TV & the toilet flush not working properly , and were more than willing to make up for it by offering you a room upgrade or a change in room which was declined by you.
We request you not to let this one incident mar your impression of the hotel and give us an opportunity to host you once again during your next visit to Bangalore
Best Regards,
Vijay Nair

The paul is a very nice hotel, built in traditional ancient style where the rooms surround a very large verandah.
The verandah is beautifully decorated and used as a space for restaurant. Absolutely stunning.
The hotel itself is at a very peaceful location.
Rooms are spacious, neat and clean.
I really liked the hotel and will stay here whenever I am in Bangalore.
This is a hidden gem tucked away behind the busy main streets. It is like a resort within Bangalore. The staff and the rooms were excellent. The three restaurants I visited were very good for breakfast lunch and dinner. The rooms are spacious, suite style and our room had a nice view into the downstairs dining area which has a European cafe style look to it. Overall, this will be my go-to place in Bangalore. Previously I used to stay at the Taj or the Leela but this gave me a cozy and comfortable feeling in a 5 5star setting.
My reservation for the hotel went through. Upon arrival at 2am, they told me my reservation was ok, but there was no rooms and they shifted me to another hotel down the road.
Very nice hotel and staff. Checks all the boxes- cleanliness, friendliness, price and location. For the price of a suite in this hotel, you would only get a single bedroom in more upscale hotels right across the street. The staff is super friendly, prompt and eager to help. I stayed for ~10 days and never had a complaint about anything.
The food is good too, breakfast spread is ~50 items, very nicely prepared and is complimentary. Lunch and dinner entries are a bit on a higher side, but there is no other option nearby as well.
This is a lovely hotel with great staff, they're well trained in meeting the needs of guests.
The hotel is located in more of a business district than tourist area, this can be a problem due to Bangalore's appalling traffic. This hotel is at least 25 min from MG Road and Bridge Rd which is where there is a lot of shops and cafes. It is also adds an extra 40 min to the drive from the airport due to heavy traffic.
We enjoyed our one night, but wouldn't return due to the location.

Tranquil
Quiet suburban area for the hotel, very tranquil inside with palms and fountains. Staff were very friendly and attentive, nothing was any problem for anyone. Great pizza which is probably a surprise! Minibar and snack selection was great, newspapers delivered daily, huge breakfast selection with western and Indian options. I would definitely stay again.

worst reception service
worst reception in charge, anything you ask says i will get back to you , like timings of their restaurant was also not know to the staff, we used laundry service and instead of children laundry price they charged everything on adult price, when questioned straight the answer was we cant do anything, simply act of cheating, its managers order , so we cant refund. great going Paul, love your customer care relationship.
Basically this is an apartment converted hotel which anyone will understand once you are inside the hotel and in the premises.. But at the same time it gives value for your money if you have 2 families or if you want to choose 1 room instead 2.
We have a common amenity area and a sitting room with sofa. It helps you to have private comfortable meetings..
Added to it are the swimming pools, nice restaurants including the Kerala one...
Health club is also awesome..
They have a bum washer in the toilet unlike other 5 star and 4 star hotels.. Found it really helpful
So I feel it's a deal if you are looking for a 4 star serviced apartment....
Excellent Facility!! I have stayed most of the hotels in Bangalore the past 15 years back to back. Paul is in my top list for sure. I have booked the hotel through Expedia - The best place to book flight, hotel and car for sure. The information The Paul presented through these sites are so confusing. I have booked a 2 BR suite and the information I got was "Up to 4 adults and 5 children" and I booked it since I have my cousin and her husband were also with me for a few days so one room for them and one room for me. When I checked in, the hotel staff asked for additional money for an additional person - we got into an unnecessary argument since the information they presented through these sites are totally wrong and misleading. I still stayed by paying additional money since it was already late at night to switch to another hotel. Overall stay was very pleasant except this mess up by The Paul site....
This isn't a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It is a 3 or 3.5 star hotel that is mislabeled. I thought I was getting a great deal at a 5 star as it was labeled in Expedia but immediately upon arriving it was clear this was not a 5 star. The lobby is quite basic but functional. The lobby was dark when I arrived at 5am. I paid extra for an early check in but found the room and sheets dirty. It was so disgusting that I checked out and moved to the Ritz Carlton in bangalore and did not book via Expedia as I was upset about the 5 star labeling.
The hotel is very nice the Breakfast was very good. The romes are very big and in high standard. But the most important the staff there were very welcoming
A nice, clean, safe, hotel at very good rates. Good breakfast, good value. But hotel is a bit hard to find even for taxi drivers. It is a bit far to walk to any street life. The attraction of the hotel is the price for the comfort and safety.
We spent over a week at this 'cool' hotel. We had requested accommodation for 3 as I was planning to have my elderly mother also stay with us. We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite and it was very spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The attention to detail was exquisite. We ate many meals there. They were able to provide food outside their menu. I wanted appams with coconut milk - done! Fruits such as chiccoos were also provided even though it was not quite the right season. Red delicious apples from Washington state, USA every day in my room was a nice touch. Rooms were clean, turn down service provided, room service was prompt and the staff were very responsive. It made care of my 90 year old mother easy. All in all worth another visit!
The Paul is a great place to stay! The hotel is amongst a residential type area with all the big business head offices nearby, so really suited to all accommodate all types of travellers. Rooms are well presented and beds are very comfortable. Toiletries are great too! The only real downside is there isn’t a lot of shopping or restaurants in walking distance so you’ll need to get an auto-rickshaw to get anywhere with lots of choices like Brigade Road and Commercial Street, but you’ll only pay around 150 rupee, so no issues really other than a little time, 15 minutes.
I was here on a work trip at the Embassy Golf Links Business Park across the road so it was always a welcoming sight to return to the Paul after a long day at the office. Rooms are big and spacious and the ambience of the surroundings make it conducive for relaxing after a day's work. The hotel cafe and restaurant offers both local and intercontinental fare so there isn't a need to head out looking for a meal as they are reasonably priced. Hotel staff are very courteous and accommodating.
I book a hotel car pick up at customer place at 5pm, but the driver only arrived at 6pm. The excuse is flat tire. The next day, I get known the driver is inform to pick me up 10min before 5pm. When I question the front desk, the reason is it is a busy day with many pickup and heavy jam. There are many different stories but I am not sure which one is correct. The manager on Duty, Mattew, just passed me the trip ticket when I arrived, not even a simple word of sorry. The Sales manager said will investigate and get back to me,two weeks passed and nothing from him. I informed the front desk during check out that I need an answer from them or else it will be on the web, and here I am....
The hotel overall was very good, but the room was small and cramped. Some noise from the ground floor restaurant can be heard in the room but you get used to it. The food in all restaurants is very good quality and reasonably priced. Gym is excellently equiped. Small niggle is that the hotel taxis are expense, with a quite high minimum charge.
This Hotel was an absolutely lovely hotel. From the minute we walked into the hotel, until we left, it was truely a wonderful stay. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It shows they really have pride in their work. The rooms are lovely and spacious. The wooden floors make the rooms. Flowers petals places on your towels and bed each day the rooms are cleaned give it that extra touch. We stayed an extra nite. Would definitely go back.
The hotel room is very comfortable and clean. But, Quality of Food is average. Internet connection is very expensive and very slow, slower than dial up modems.
I travel a lot. This hotel in Bangalore, India was one of the best hotels I have stayed in -- anywhere. The suite was extremely clean, comfortable, and well finished (teak wood floors, woodwork...). The staff was exteremely courteous, helpful, and actually acted like they enjoyed their jobs. The three restaurants in this hotel also had excellent food and service. This is a small hotel (something like 50 or 60 rooms) with amazing service and all the amaneities of the big places. I also felt very safe and secure while staying there for almost a week while conducting business in different parts of Bangalore. A++++.
This is a really clean hotel, with efficient service, close to a large technology park.

Exceptional Service
I made a mistake and reached the airport 1 day earlier. The hotel car was not there... Called the hotel at 1:00AM and they said they would find a solution. 20 minutes later I had a driver (don't ask where they found him) who drove me to the Paul Bangalore. When I reached the hotel I was greeted by all the staff but the hotel was fully booked (be careful, it is not unusual for this hotel to have 100% occupancy) and since they knew I was on my way, they had reserved a modest but clean room in a nearby corporate temporary housing.
I only stayed 2 nights but all employees always tried to anticipate on my needs and requirements.
The hotel manager provided me with a great deal to use their car and driver to attend meetings and to go back to the airport.
Rooms are great with precise air conditioning 100% adjustable, marble bathrooms with great showers, super clean and nothing is missing.
If you travel with a colleague, it is worth to rent a large suite with 2 bedrooms.
You will get a lot of personal service here - maybe a bit too much because there is a bit too much hovering for my taste. But they are extremely pleasant and helpful. The Internet signal, however, was very poor. For that reason alone - if you are traveling on business - you may want to reconsider. I had to work in the beautiful reception/lounge area.
