Pros - spacious rooms, location in electronics city for client meets nearby, travel desk helpful Cons - dated, badly maintained, front desk incompetent, breakfast quality bad (salads cold cuts re-used), staff not trained probably new. Apparently used to be Crowne Plaza, without the crown now.

Amazing hotel with a great hospitality. Room excellent and very clean. A lot of options for food and drinks and the taxi service is very accommodating. Next time for sure again this hotel.

4 star more than 5 star
A nice hotel with courteous and helpful staff. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom and shower room but fell short of what I would expected of a 5 star - did the basics well but no extras e.g. no robes in the room. What let the hotel down for me was the limited products available in the hotel bars with many products unavailable over our 4 day stay - I would have expected better for a 5 star hotel.

Still the best option in EC
I've been staying in this hotel for the last 9 years whenever I had to come to Electronic City, the staff are simply amazing, food is fantastic and rooms are very clean and comfortable. The only downside is that the hotel has changed ownership over the years and unfortunately each time management decided just to use what was there before, hence the hotel really needs a makeover now as it is becoming very dated. Also if you like a quiet room, it'll be better not to be poolside, as the hotel has many functions which are based around the pool and it can be very noisy with music until late at night in the week. Nevertheless this hotel is still my number one choice when I'm in EC.

Stayed at Oterra for one night for a business meeting. The airport pick-up was great- unfortunately it was a 2.5 hour drive to the hotel due to crazy Banagalore traffic, but the driver was very nice, car was comfortable with water and snacks offered, and had wifi. Oterra seems to be an older hotel- room was comfortable but not impressive and sort of dark overall. No French press was offered in the rooms (unlike the other 5-star hotels I stayed in India during this business trip), and minibar was extremely expensive as compared to 5-star hotels in Delhi and Pune. Breakfast buffet had a great variety and was in a beautiful space. Italian restaurant was great- the gnocchi was some of the best I’ve ever had! (Which surprised me). But food/drink prices are very high here. Service overall was great. They could make some updates to the rooms to modernize them, and should reconsider restaurant and in-room dining prices.

It’s a nice property. But the staff actively spies on customers. Especially women travelling alone. I suggest Hilton Embassy Golf Links, or Fourpoints Sheraton Whitefield or Leela as better locations if you want privacy.

Still a good choice.
I've been staying at this hotel for the last 7 years, it's very convenient to the local IT companies in EC. Previously the hotel was owned by IHG, now it's back with Oterra. Overall not much has changed, food is still fantastic and staff are friendly and rooms are clean and spacious (I would recommend to add the club offer to the stay). Unfortunately all the nice perks they had under IHG have now gone (no free shuttle, cookies, free drinks etc) and the property hasn't been renovated for about 10 years.

Good place on the road to nowhere

The Oterra is a very nice hotel. The staff and service are excellent. Couple things could be slightly improved - some moldy wallpaper in the restroom, the floor in there is very slippery also. But in all a top notch hotel in the region.

High end hotel in Electronic City
Great facility and superior restaurant with a wide range of top-notch food. Large outdoor swimming pool and well appointed rooms. Only issues was being offered a dinner package upon arrival but then being charged additionally for sparkling water and a juice drink for dinner. The hotel reversed the charges but not until after I expressed concern.

Good choice for Electronics City
The Oterra was formerly the Crowne Plaza. Our cab driver was a little confused when we told him to take us here! Location - perfect for Electronics City or if you are going south to Hosur etc. Hotel - very large and spacious hotel. We stayed in a club room which also was very spacious. Food - in room dining was quick and good. The breakfast was a good spread in an atrium like restaurant with ample natural right. In summary, a good stay!

The service was impeccable. The food was excellent. The facility was clean, modern and had everything to make a traveler from halfway around the world comfortable. If you have business in India near Electronics City, you should take a close look at the Crowne Plaza.
