Great hotel. Only complaint is that the cooling system didn’t work so it was a little stuffy in the room.

Extremely Clean property. The room was immaculate. Great Mountain View’s. The front desk staff where very helpful. Nikki went above and beyond to explain the surrounding area. Offering insights on hiking trails, Wines, food etc. Making sure we had everything we needed.

best experience on this Italy trip
this was one of our most outstanding stays in Italy.Wonderfull 380 year old mansion with period furnishing. and great views. The restaurant was outstanding fantastic food and service. Must recommend the charming waiters

Great location and views are amazing, hotel needs an upkeep to return to previous standards. The staff running the hotel, cannot do enough for your comfort: but it’s the rooms that needs some comfort and updating.

This is a fully restored 16th century villa, up on a hill above Belluno. It’s a beautiful hotel, the breakfast is excellent, and the bed very comfortable. We would recommend this place.

Great facility! Wonderful restaurant! Wonderful breakfast on the terrace. Great history. Can’t go wrong. Just get directions to get to the place from the main roads.

great with car, otherwise not easy to get around. breakfast is very good, variety and fresh food, especially if taken outside in good weather. rooms are rustic but comfortable. a gem waiting to be discovered.

A superb stay. The room was large and spacious, the dinner was particularly good, and the breakfast too was very good. Very pleasant and helpful staff and a very interesting building in a good location. We only stayed one night but will certainly go back.

Belluno sanctuary
Very friendly and helpful staff,i upgraded ourselves to a junior suite which was lovely. Only complaint that was there were no double beds left. Food and setting was 5 star. Loved the character and would return at the given opportunely . Very quiet and restful stay.

Lovely Hotel
This is a lovely hotel. Our room was spacious with a lovely sitting area. We had dinner in the evening sitting outside on the patio - a gorgeous setting and excellent food.

Great place to stay in Friuli
It was amazing. The room was very large, with views both to the mountains in back and over the lawn in front. The amenities were great and the breakfast was excellent, with fresh juices and pastries and fruit, as well as cheeses and meats. Although the hotel operates a restaurant, the manager gave us abundant advice about local restaurants and even made a reservation for us. He also gave advice on our itinerary for the next day which was very helpful.

Special, historic retreat, but convenient to town.
What a gem. Historic former palazzo, but with every modern convenience. Lovely breakfast on peaceful terrace, with great view. Great bathroom. Secluded, tree-lined driveway leads to "oh wow!" building. Helpful and pleasant staff.

Great food!
The Carpananda is a 5 minute drive from town, so eating there makes sense. The good thing is it is worth it. There hotel restaurant was excellent! The free breakfast was very good with eggs, bacon, fresh fruit and pastries. However, the dinner was fantastic. The best combination of food and service we have seen in Italy so far. We received complimentary proseco and antipasta. I shared my Guinea fowl with my wife's steak and both were incredible. The chocolate cake and creme brûlée were also excellent.

Nice and Clean, but not 4 star
We could not find anyone to check us in. We wondered around the lobby, after ringing the service bell for 15 - 20 minutes looking for staff. Once the desk clerk showed up he was not very helpful and seemed put out by our arrival. The hotel was nice, but the staff was not what I would consider 4 star.

If you anywhere near Belluno in the Dolomites thus villa is a must. Most exquisite place to see. Old world charm that needs to be experienced once in a lifetime. Not your ordinary hotel but a real villa where you are treated as a GUEST in capital letters. Room superb looking, wood beams on ceiling, great wood frame beds, robe and slippers for your use. Best of all is the evening dinner in their elegant restaurant with the most wonderful attentive waiter I've seen on my vacation. When the chef comes out to talk to you about the food before ordering you have made it to the best and it's going to be great. Not disappointed. Even though you are full dessert is a must ending to a fabulous dinner. My next trip to Italy will include a stop here.

The room wasn't ready even though we arrived after 5 pm, and the staff were very cavalier about the wait. After about half an hour we were given our keys, but the room had not been properly leaned or prepared. Great location and has the potential to achieve its claimed 4 star status if the staff were to show more attention to detail and far better customer relations.

A gem in the mountains
I was traveling through Belluno for work, and saw Villa Carpenada online for a terrific price. Having lived in Italy for 1.5years my expectations of a four star hotel don't exactly match the American version. Villa Carpenada surpassed all expectations, and I eagerly await my next trip North. Beautifully renovated, comfortable and fashionable rooms, the hotel restaurant's host spoke beautiful english and the food was even better, nice view, and charming community.

Villa carpenada dista 2km circa da belluno. Scelta tra le varie offerte li ho trovato una location di qualità. Check in con personale gentile, disponibile e anche simpatica per un piccolo scambio di parole...camera due letti singoli ( viaggiavo solo ) da una piazza e mezzo.. letto comodo, pulizia dei locali al top, bagno con tutti i comfort che si può chiedere compresa una doccia con idromassaggio..colazione con ampia scelta tra doce e salato..sicuramente se mi ritrovo a passar nella zona sarà il mio riferimento come alloggio...complimenti a tutto il personale

Peu d’options d’hébergements dans le secteur ; l’hôtel est une grande bâtisse, chambre ok grande et sdbains ok mais j’ai eu une chambre avec deux lits simples séparés et donc très inconfortable à mes yeux pour dormir ; impossible de les mettre côté à côté car meubles anciens en bois. J’ai demandé à changer pour un grand lit mais pas disponible. Le restaurant : fatigués après notre voyage, nous sommes restés sur place et malgré un service accueillant, la qualité des plats servis n’est pas à la hauteur du prix payé : bref c’est cher pour ce que c’est
