“Perfect location to stay”
Great location, fun beach bar even for locals and great staff...
“Carribean villas”
Very lovely hotel! The only thing that i would recommend to improve is pressure of water in the bathroom
“Caribbean Villas Hotel for rest and relaxation!”
Wonderful location, terrific view. I did find small ants in the kitchen area but the staff were quick to remedy the situation. In all it was a great place to stay!!
“Nice place to stay”
The Caribbean Villas is a very nice resort. The staff is friendly and helpful. Louis and Tony are wonderful bartenders. The beach is small, and often has sea grass that they valiantly attempt to remove. But there is a nice swimming area at the end of the pier. The location is good, about a mile south of San Pedro central. There are 3 grocery stores within a couple of blocks. There are four or five decent restaurant/bars within walking distance. However, Tony's cooking is as good as any of them. Georges was our favorite and had good breakfast and dinners (closed Mon night and Tuesday). We ate our last night at the Blue Iguana and it was good. The bar on the beach (Canucks), not so good unless you like bad country music. The pool and two (very) hot tubs are smallish, but sufficient. All of the rooms are nice, except for ours (the Garden View #13) which is mediocre. It is small, poor lighting for reading, no sofa or comfortable chairs, no balcony, no stove, and no view of the ocean. But we knew that when we booked -- it was the only one left.There are ants every where, on the beach and in all of the rooms including ours. Not a big deal, just the way it is there. We rented a golf car for an afternoon ($30 US for 3 hrs) and explored the town, highly recommended although we got caught in a funeral procession. Weather was in the low 80s everyday, not a lot of sun, rain every night, cloudy & windy. We rented a golf cart for $30US for 3 hrs and explored the town. Highly recommended.
“Carribean Villas”
The bedroom was to small for the king size bed. The tv could only be watched from the bed. The sink for the bath was not in the bathroom but next to the kitchen counter. Some minor remodeling to place the sink in the bathroom and put the tv on a swivel would make a big difference in the room.
“Don't have their act together or put customers 1st”
The physical condition and upkeep are great. Its the staff that kept dropping the ball and really disappointed us. The hotel offers free pickup and dropoff to/from their water port and airport. We called and re-confirmed our arrival time but the hotel forgot to pick us up. Adding insult to injury, the receptionist who checked us in \then informed us we would be required to switch rooms midway through our 5 night stay. We protested but gave up. When it was time to move, we got up early and packed up, were ready for the move, but the move never came. When we asked what happened, the staff told us they changed their minds but never told us. Even when we were leaving, they claimed we'd charged a beer to our room. We hadn't. Lots of other little annoying little tidbits raised our blood pressure unnecessarily during what should have been restful and complication-free. They need to get their act together. At no time did they offer us anything for our inconvenience, just I'm sorry, I'm sorry and more I'm sorry. We'd happily return to Belize but we wouldn't stay here.
