“Great Hotel, Great Price!!”

I spent a fantastic five nights at this well kept hotel in the heart of Beijing with all the "must see" sights in close proximity. I was able to walk to Tianamemn Square and the Forbidden City and my stay included a complimentary trip to the Great Wall, Ming Tombs and Jade Factory. Everyone spoke good English and were helpful and courteous. I highly recommend this hotel to travellers who wish to experience great service at a great price.

“Wangfujing Grand”

About a 20-25 minute walk to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Room was clean and comfortable. Somehow got a free upgrade upon arrival. Was pleasantly surprised to find a computer in the room with internet access! Didn't buy the breakfast at the hotel, but ran to nearby McDonalds for breakfast instead. It was much cheaper to do it that way. Concierge spoke just enough English to be helpful depending on the person at the desk. People and service were very good.

“Wonderful Staff”

Fantastic hotel - great location and the staff were absolutely amazing. They were so helpful and friendly. It was our haven from the chaos outside! Our bed was very comfortable. The only problem was with our shower, it leaked on the floor, other than that everything was great.

“Wish I could have stayed longer”

We were on the excutive floor which was comfortable, had great views and provided excellent service. The room was well appointed with TV, computer, internet, air-con and lots of information in English. Staff were charming, polite and efficient, both for basic house-keeping and business support. Wanfujing is in a good area close to many 'sights', transport and shopping. I feel we had good value for money and a very enjoyable stay.

“Great location...hotel needs refurbishing”

Stayed a total of seven days in two stays. Wangfujing Hotel is truly conveniently located near hutongs and Forbidden City. Staff is helpful and responsive, and most spoke some English. Limited room service menu but adequate, and had trouble convincing them to deliver bread with spaghetti (they never did). Restaurant is good. Don't let hotel staff convince you to use hotel limo - convenient but overpriced. If you need multiple taxis, use that method. One-fifth the price of the limo. Rooms appear to need a face-lift, and some painting. Overall, a pleasant experience and would recommend for future travelers.

“Easy stay at the Wangfujing Grand Hotel”

Great staff. They spoke some English and were very polite and helpful with everything that I requested. The hotel is a few blocks away from the downtown part of Wangfujing which makes it more peaceful but its close enough that you are not far away from everything. The hotel is very pretty and the rooms are very clean. The staff is very helpful and do their best to assist you with everything you need. I spent four nights in Beijing and it was a great time. I enjoyed my stay and the Wangfujing Grand Hotel and I felt comfortable about leaving my belongings in the room without any hesitation. I strongly suggest this hotel if you are looking for an affordable hotel with a luxury atmosphere.

“Absolute value for your money”

The hotel was great! a few meters from the hotel and you can find some signature shops and also shop jewelry shops where you can buy some gifts for people back home. Theres also a huge toy store where your kids can get the stuff they want. Try walking around the area you get to find some nice tea shops which offer food at reasonable prices. This would definitely be my pick on my next stay in Beijing.

“Great location for tourists, reasonable price”

- Stayed here July 2007 and again October 2008 - Reasonable walking distance for shopping and central Beijing sights - Very friendly and helpful staff - Forbidden City view from Exec Lounge is great as long as it's a good air quality day - Not budget accommodation, but decent price for level of service, amenities, and location - Booked rooms here 4 times through Expedia without a hitch
