Excellent customer service. Great location. Very clean rooms. We had connecting rooms. We love the room setup. Reception staffs speak good English. All of them are very very helpful especially Zidane. A special thanks to you and all who have served us like Vincent & 1 more gentleman who brought us to the room. 100% satisfied customer 😊

Great location, extremely clean. Stuff super friendly and lots of English speaking stuff, they are jumping though a burning hoop to help you with any request. Fantastic brake fast buffet I definitely will be back.

Don't get the cheapest room
Cheapest room is very very small to the point where you don't look forward to using the bathroom. Shower has a ceiling shower where you can't get away from the water, only a little bit at each corner. Toilet used the same sliding door the shower has and the sliding door pushes against your knees, even though I'm not tall.

Great location with tons of restaurants within walking distance. Many are classic Beijing food restaurants. Subway station is 10 minutes walk. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend hotel to friends.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Our room was on the ground floor and nice but small and no view. It was very cold on arrival but the staff did their best to sort out the heating and supplied and extra quilt. There is a small desk area but no chair so difficult to work from there. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of dishes although the cooked dishes were not kept hot enough. The upper terrace with bar was great, we didn't sample the food there.

When you are being dropped of in the under ground car park for the first time you wonder what have i booked,but from their it only gets better Very easy place to do a lot off the site seeing from Roof top bar has amazing views Very good breakfast but pay for it with your room booking Rooms just a little bit on the tired side but having said that very good value,we would stay again

Very clean and modernistic in style. Good sized rooms and a nice touch with the minibar, Restaurant was very good for both evening meal and breakfast, though sadly underutilised. Best of all, wonderful staff who were very welcoming and helpful - a real difference to another hotel we stayed at in Beijing.

The hotel was well located for a short stay. We had a subway close by, plus a big boulevard to get taxis. It is within walking distance to the forbidden city and a 30 min walk to the temple of Heaven. The hotel looks modern, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant and it was tasty. Full of locals dining and drinking out. It was nice. The breakfast included was good and hearty too.

Great location for a truly Chinese experience. Very close to Tiananmen Square and Qianmen Avenue. The only not so good it's that is a little hard to find and taxi drivers don't know the address. Because it is located in a pedestrian district you will be dropped of close to the hotel and you need to walk.

Bizarre little place! Both our tour guide or driver have never been there. You can't drive up to the front door of the hotel and there's a food bizarre street out front of the hotel. It was the best hotel we stayed in while in china. Staff spoke the best English of all and very helpful. The breakfast didn't offer many food dishes but it was way better than the hotels with 50 dishes to choose from . The fired mushrooms were the best and the oven roasted potatoes. The roof top was also very cute.

Great location..funky boutique hotel
Very convenient to so many sights in Beijing. Glad I had read reviews about the location so I knew it was a pedestrian street. Black room was very dark..we moved to a white room which was more comfortable. Great views from roof top bar. Only complaint that the pool wasn't open during our stay. Staff was friendly and accommodating but some had more limited English skills. Arranged for transport to Airport at 3am very helpful. Stored our luggage when we left for one night to go to Great Wall. Overall great experience!

el hotel definitivamente era más de lo que esperábamos, cuarto grande y limpio. Área excelente de lo más turístico, cerca de Tiananmen Square y en calle peatonal súper turística muy padre. Único inconveniente fue el hecho de que el hotel no cuenta con un lobby, servicio de taxis (solo te piden un didi y pues tienes que confiar que no te transe el conductor) y tienes que caminar para tomarlo además el cuarto doble no cuenta con privacidad suficiente para alguien que no sea pareja (baño sin puerta, sin seguro, con cristales). Es buena opción en general. Desayuno decente

We were travel with our son. The swimming pool& Shang Bar on the roof top is excellent. Food there's really dilicious. The service and room amenity is first class. Fully recomended.

This is an OK hotel in a busy tourist area. The price is OK considering its location. But I dislike the design of my hotel room and many property features in the building are inconvenient and poorly conceived. There is a locked glass door between elevator and hallway. When the staff shows us to our room, she did mention that we need to swipe our room card to unlock the door when going towards our room. But she didn't tell us that we need to press a button to unlock the same door when exiting the building. So we were trapped between the elevator and the door for 5 minutes the first time we tried to exit the building, until another guest helped. In the next few days, I helped several newer guests with the same issue. Totally poor and non-intuitive design. I didn't appreciate the design of my room. The style is unconventional and I didn't see the point. Maybe some people like it. More annoyingly, the room was very poorly lit and there isn't enough sitting area or desk space, though the size of the room is adequate. Some light switches are in awkward and hidden locations. The operation of the shower knobs are not intuitive. The shower could simply stop when guests in neighboring rooms are taking shower. The hotel is located in the middle of a tourist area. Most restaurants in the area are over priced and the sanitary conditions are poor. It is inconvenient to call a taxi or DiDi near the hotel because the nearest accessible road by taxi has some traffic control.

Fantastic hotel located in the pedestrian area just south of Tiananmen Square. Don’t have to worry about cars or motorcycles. Great rooftop bar/pool scene. The front desk staff was by far the most helpful I’ve ever experienced in 30 years of international travel. I showed up with a cold and inquired about a pharmacy. The front desk lady from Kazakhstan immediately walked me to the pharmacy, translated my symptoms and got me the medicine I needed. This was above and beyond any hotel service I’ve ever received. Strong English skills at the front feel as well. Private car booking for 8 hours was fair at 1100. Rooms were comfortable and a great shower. Highest recommendation!!

The Emperor is an excellent hotel with a great value. The staff is friendly and helpful. Most employees speak English and will assist with directions, tours, and restaurants recommendations. The Roof Top Lounge and Pool add to the atmosphere of the hotel, with delicious food, views of the city, and good prices

Best location
The location is ideal for tourists. Not just that the hotel is right in the middle of a restored ancient food court and busy commercial street. It is just minutes away from the tourist bus station and subway station, Qian men. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. My room is still quiet. The roof provides a fantastic view of the square at night.

Unique hotel in a central location!
Beautiful, unique hotel in an incredible location. The front desk person was enthusiastic and welcoming. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer. My husband and I had a short one night layover.
