“Raffles Hotel Beijing”
Fantastic hotel in ideal location close to Forbidden City and Tianneman Square. Extremely friendly, courteous and helpful staff, fantastic dinner buffet at very reasonable price.
“Best of Beijing”
Raffles Beijing is a haven in the city. Comfortable, luxurious, clean and with fantastic service, there is little else one can ask for. From the check in, to concierge services, - breakfast, to tea - and internet service to laundry service, everything was wonderful.
“Perfect choice for a Western tourist or business traveler”
Immaculate hotel with excellent service and food. Walking distance from Tianamen Sq and Forbidden City. Hotel-consigned guided tours are very expensive.
“Wonderful hotel”
We really enjoyed our 3 day stay here. We had a room package that included breakfast and use of a lounge with free afternoon tea and alcoholic drinks between 6 and 8. there was also free internet . Rooms were huge - included a separate lounge area - beds sooooo comfy. Ironing board, dressing gowns, slippers, bath and separate shower. No view only down side. Breakfast buffet really excellent for China. Had dinner buffet once but this was not so great as we arrived after 9 and lots of the food was running out - (sushi and salads) the staff in the restaurant need a little more help to come up to same standard as the reception staff who were fantastic. Pool had cold water brrrr Writers bar fabulous but drinks very pricey - Tenner a cocktail! Room mini bar ridiculous price - go to supermarket in shopping centre down road on left and buy booze there !!! Great thai restaurant in basement of same shopping mall by the way! Loved the hotel - would stay again and do same room upgrade.
“Would love to go back”
We loved this hotel. The rooms were magnificent and the service was supreme, would thoroughly recommend it as a haven of peace in a very busy city.
“Great location”
Raffles is in a great location, within walking distance to the forbidden city, and a great shopping district a block in the other direction. The staff at the hotel spoke great English and were extremely helpful. The room quality was excellent and a bargain for the price.
“Marvelous experience!”
Very friendly, kind and helpful staff. Elegant setting Extraordinary food at the Jaan Restaurant
“bEAUTIFUL hOTEL EXCELLENT STAFF”
This hotel is exceptional...we travel a lot and found this hotel fabulous....the staff is very attentive and able to direct and help with language and tour issues. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast buffet exceptional one of the best hotels we have stayed at.......
“The place to stay when in Beijing”
We had an amazing stay at the Raffles Beijing. Service and food was top notch, and the staff was incredibly caring. The location is very convenient, at walking distance from the main historical sites while also next to shopping malls and western restos for when you need a break. Do make sure to upgrade your room to the business lounge, which not only is a great place to chill but also makes you save a good bit on breakfast, soft drinks and light bites.
“Simply Amazing!”
This beautifully restored and maintained hotel was an oasis from the moment we arrived until we departed for return flights to the US. The location could not have been more perfect - literally one block from the Forbidden City and two from Tianamen Square and Mao's Tomb. On arrival, we were greeted by John (the hotel's English-speaking "Ambassador") and the head Concierge. Throughout our stay, these individuals were a true resource to the sites, restaurants & everything that we needed. Our room was stunning with separate shower stall and marble tub, a true wet bar, formal sitting area with a sofa and a balcony which looked out onto the main street leading to the Forbidden City. Two of our evenings there we went down to the "Writer's Bar" happy hour and enjoyed great rates on cocktails in a very cool circa 1940s era style lounge. It was a popular event with many of the hotel guests. Although we didn't use them, the hotel is also equipped with a workout facility, a pool and a bowling alley! Taken together, this hotel is really everything one could want while visiting Beijing and more but it is the genuine "service"-oriented attitude which sets this hotel apart; I can honestly say we have never been better cared for or enjoyed a hotel more in all of our world travels than we were at Raffles Beijing! Thank you for a memorable and relaxing stay!
