Dining
Justine's - The first French restaurant to open in Beijing, in 1982, continues to serve authentic Gallic fare, and offers a good selection of wines. Dark woods, chandeliers, ceiling drapes, plush seating, and candle-lit tables create an opulent setting, with a classical harpist playing most evenings. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The Cafe - Overlooking the garden, with Spanish-influenced wall frescos and brass chandeliers evoking a rustic atmosphere. Weather permitting, the restaurant opens into a beer garden. International fare and local specialties. Open from early morning until late evening.
Four Seasons - A floral carpet, lacquerware, and red table lanterns set the tone of this traditional-style restaurant, which overlooks the garden. Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine predominate. Open from midmorning until late evening.
Charlie's Bar - A British-style pub, with dark woods and leather chairs giving it a clubby atmosphere. A live band performs most nights. Pub food and snacks are available, and a good selection of local and imported beers. Open from late afternoon until late evening.
Recreation
A 30-foot pool is bathed in natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and a glass ceiling. A fitness room contains cardiovascular equipment and free weights, and traditional acupuncture and massage are available (surcharges).

“Back again”
Always happy to stay at this hotel. Only slight issue is the delay there can be in getting taxis but the subway is so close that it doesn't affect your stay only going to the airport. Booking ahead for taxi is necessary for morning departures. We have been coming back to this hotel for 12 years and never had a bad visit.
“My hotel in Beijing”
I surveyed most of the hotels in Beijing before my first trip and I chose this hotel because of its central location. Have stayed there 9 times and will stay there on my next trip.
“Excellent Hotel”
Stayed here for 8 nights during the National Day holiday. Guest service was prompt and attentive. Rooms were well maintained. Hotel restaurants served quality meals and there were many other dining options nearby. Hotel in a very convenient location next to the subway.Hotel gardens were undergoing some maintenance work during my stay. Would stay here again.
“great location”
Have stayed here 5 times in the past 18 months. Great service. Great location.
“Better than we expected”
best location and nice area, and convenient to tourist attraction
“well located in the diplomatic and nightlife quarter”
This well-established hotel has seen alot pass by but maintains its welcoming character, from the lobby to the bar and its three restaurants. Building work in Jan 2008 led to noisy daytimes but presumably more well-appointed rooms in time for the Olympics. The front of house staff remain unsure how to answer the question "What's on in your town tonight?" but maybe it's true that little really is!
“Very good hotel”
This hotel is very good value. The staff are friendly and helpful and service is great. The housekeeping staff are particulary very good. Good city location too. Few steps from subway station and Silk Street Market.
“Best hotel stay!”
Fantastic staff, rooms, restaurants, serivce! If we ever head to Beijing again, we will be staying at this hotel!!!
“Great location and awesome 'chinese styled 'hotel”
The hotel is in a great location convienently located nearby a subway station but also the famous Silk Market if shopping is your thing.
“We loved the hotel. We hightly recommend it.”
This is a 6 star hotel in our book. Starbucks, the subway and the best shopping in the world at the Silk Street Market are all within 3 minutes walking... The room was comfortable, quiet, and everyone was extremely prompt, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast in the hotel is too expensive, $20.00 each, so we ate at Starbucks which opens at 7AM. Prices there are about the same as home.
