“Great Location-for the price”
If you are overnighting in Beijing to catch an early morning flight, or if you want to relocate closer to the airport from your downtown hotel to avoid the Beijing to the airport traffic, this is a great location for the price. It is only about a 5 minute drive to the terminals and offers a hotel shuttle. It is not convenient for in town touring. The hotel is in a commercial district area so the shopping and dining options are limited. Out the south exit and across the street are several restaurants and about 4 long blocks to the right is a small grocery store that services an apartment complex. If you just want to pick up some snacks or toiletries to get you through the night the prices are what the locals pay. The staff was helpful and spoke acceptable English. The diverter for the showerhead in our room would not stay engaged but other than that the room was great, again especially for the price.
“Good option for transit passengers”
I think this is a good option if you just need to stay 1 night in Beijing. Taxi from Terminal 3 to the hotel cost about 20RMB, they also offer complimentary shuttle bus service. The Executive room was very big and comfortable. Restaurant was ok. too. Only problem is that you can hear the noise of airplanes landing but I had the same problem in Hilton airport hotel that is 3 x in price.
“Good option to overnight”
For the price this is one of the better options near PEK to overnight. It is not however a viable option to base a trip to sight-see. The hot water in my room took nearly 5 minutes to heat up and there was an unpleasant smell in the shower. Aside from this the stay was fine. Taxi drivers may not be too keen on taking you there from the airport but I didn't have any problems; probably because he was under the watchful eye of airport authorities in the bustling taxi stand area and cars did not have to wait. You can always offer them 10-20RMB for their trouble. On the return however the driver charged me 50RMB for what should have been ~16.
“good hotel close to airport - recommended”
Excellent location close to International airport. English spoken reasonably well. Room service very poor but buffet breakfast excellent. Excellent shuttle hourly to airport
“something is very wrong with this place”
Even though it was only 3 km away, there was no Taxi driver at the airport that was familiar with this hotel. The drivers made several attempts at calling the hotel but there was no answer. After having to map it out on my Iphone we were finally on our way. Upon arrival in a dark street with nothing that remotely looke like a hotel on it, we went to the only building with a light on. It was definitely a hotel lobby, but there was nobody at the reception and there were people sleeping on the lobby furniture. My guess is they arrived and attempted to check in but there was no staff to check people in. We left immediately and checked into the Crowne Plaza.
“Not a honest hotel!”
Employees in this hotel are not honest at all. I booked a tour from this hotel and I have learned my lesson. I will suggest all not to stay in this hotel.
