The room I had for the second week running had no heating, but they did provide an electric heater which I couldn’t keep on because of the noise it made. I arrived for breakfast at 8.00 on Sunday morning with only 4 people in there and ordered immediately as I had a meeting arranged for 9.00, but by 8.35 there was still no sign of my breakfast so I had to leave. I would at the very least be compensated for the £9.00 I paid for breakfast but a little extra would be appreciated. Regards Chris Skudder

The check in was easy and the room lovely nice and clean. The only gripe we have was the radiator was stuck on, so was very hot in the room even with the windows open.

Convenient to Dunstable town centre. Helpful Staff. Heating at the property on the blink! No Gluten Free options (or bread) for breakfast despite requesting in advance.

Comfortable, could do better on allergies
Staff were friendly, interested in helping to answer questions and pleasant to deal with. The room was comfortable, well provided with plug sockets as well as tea/coffee. There was crisp, clean linen and a clean bathroom. However, the shower head bracket was broken - which it had clearly been for some time. This was a pity as the bath I had clearly only recently been refurbished. The adjacent Hungry Horse restaurant premises were very tired and definitely in need of refurbishment. The food (dinner and breakfast) was fine and again the staff were helpful. However, there was not enough information about the food’s ingredients. Whilst there was some declaration of potential allergens ( very much to be applauded) the list of these was quite arbitrary and whomever complied it was making assumptions about allergic reactions. Far better to just list all the ingredients and flag potential cross contamination. For example I react to peppers which don’t appear on lists of allergens. However, if the ingredients are listed I can see for myself.

Overall was a lovely stay. Couldn't get WiFi in room even after several attempts. Rooms were very clean, well organized and big enough for 2 people. Bathroom very clean and well equipped. Food was lovely, great choice and very reasonably priced. Would stay here again.

Slept well beds comfortable. The only down side was that therre were no sockets close enought to the mirron for my wife to do her hair we had to borrow an extension lead

Highway man 👍
Hotel has nice size clean and modern rooms. The rooms are a little noisy with banging doors this is mainly due to door closers. Staff were friendly and restaurant was good quality and reasonable priced

Brilliant hotel in a great location.
Check in was quick and easy with everything explained well. Room was very clean, recently renovated, with a comfortable bed. Plenty of free car parking on site and free Wi-Fi. The attached Hungry Horse pub/restaurant was very good, but understaffed for a busy Friday and Saturday night and by the Sunday night had run out of a lot of food. The food I did have however was beautiful and highly recommended. The waiter (didn’t get his name) was excellent, serving the whole restaurant single handed and also serving on the bar in between serving food, very hardworking. All in all a very nice stay and I will definitely stay here again when I next visit the area.

Convenient location. Cheap and basic. Dreadful intermittent noise in room from central heating problem. Staff well aware of problem but unbothered. Recorded it if anyone interested.
