“wonderful lodge!!!”

The lodge was so cosy & clean. Staffs were very friendly & helpful. My room had a great view of Hessian Lake. The best part about this lodge was the great rate! I'd definitly return to the lodge very soon!!!

“The amazing Bear Mountain Lodge”

This hotel is amazing. We arrived late at night and in the greatroom there were people sitting in the overstuffed furniture enjoying the fireplace while other people sat around the spacious room enjoying the 'Adarondack hunting lodge' ambience (without the dead animal decor). I did not understand why there were chairs lined up facing the windows along the one wall. In the moring a nice, fresh, continental breakfast was served and the sun shone in through those windows and we looked out upon an amazing view of the Hudson and the mountains. Suddenly sitting in those chairs made lots of sense. Everything was great. If you need a quick getaway in a place that is far away from New York City (yet less than an hour away), this is a great place to go.

This is a great hotel. super clean, cozy and comfortable. The area is beautiful and perfect for hiking. The restaurant is good but if you going to have dinner over there make sure to make a reservation first. The breakfast is fresh fruit, cinnamon roll, cupcakes, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The services is friendly and decent.

A different hotel is taking guests while Bear Mountain Inn is under renovation. I liked the room and it's cleanliness. It had a refrigerator and WiFi, though the Internet connection and phoneline was down during the evening but worked in the morning. The hotel was a bit hard to find. The setting was very scenic.

“Great park, wonderful surrounding, awesome experience”

The hotel and cabins are located in the Bear Mountain National Park adjacent to a little lake. Access is easy but there is some distance to shopping and dining. The cabin we stayed in had four rooms each with own bathroom. In the common room was a small kitchen with a sink and a small refrigerator. Easy parking just outside the cabin but the complementary breakfast was sevred in the main building to which we drove. Overall it was a wonderful experince and for our purpose--a visit to West Point--we couldn't have asked for a better location. Nice and quiet surroundings with a beautiful view of the mountains and lake.

“Pleasantly surprised!”

Nice, clean and comfortable. My husband and I stayed here when my son was visiting West Point. Paid a little more than a hundred dollars. Would definitely go back for that price!

“Great views and pleasant staff!”

Very comfortable room and very clean. Requested a room with a view ... and got it. Pleasant staff who provided answers to any questions asked, including information about local attractions. Only negatives: Continental breakfast a little meager; couldn't find a match or lighter ANYWHERE to light citronella candles. We would definitely return to this wonderful hotel which nestles beautifully in the Bear Mountain park area. Very laid back. We give it a 4 star!

“Quiet comfort”

Nice property. We were there at a quiet time of year; it can probably be pretty crazy in the summer and fall. The addition of restaurants will be an added benefit as there isn't much nearby, but that's what one expects in a park land.
