“Was what I expected.”
Wasn't luxurious, but that was what I expected. Mattress was uncomfortable; it bowed like a smile in the middle. Was OK, nothing exceptional.
“The price is right”
This hotel was clean and the room was fine.
“Adequate for a Brief Stay”
The hotel was a good bargain. It is located in close proximity to other hotels that are much more expensive. Security may be an issue for some. The rooms have outside entrances. My wife would not have been comfortable there alone. The door lock was broken on the first room we were booked into and we couldn't get in. Road noise was not an issue.
“Good value for what you pay”
This motel is solidly built so you don't hear a lot of noise from other rooms. There was some noise from the outside. Furnishings were comfortable but not spectacular. The motel was clean and well maintained. It was a good value for a budget motel.
“In a Time of Repair”
This hotel has two buildings. During our stay, one building had hot water and proper tub draining while the other building did not. Our original room was in the 'no hot water nor drainage' building. Fortunately, the staff was very accommodating and moved us two more times until we found a room that worked properly. Also, the property, buildings and parking lot are going through a remodeling stage, so I would wait a few months before expecting it to be fully presentable and comfortable.
“Super 8 Beachwood”
Not bad for the price. Only complaint was that loud kids occupied the surrounding hotel rooms and made a lot of noise, but that is not the fault of the establishment, just my poor luck of the draw. Walls are thin and furniture looks dated, but overall I got both what I paid for and what I expected, a relatively inexpensive place to stay that was close to the freeway and located very close to what appeared to my eyes to be a fairly ritzy part of suburbia. I had an operating television with cable and the bed was fine to sleep on, so that's all that really counted. I realize that noting that the TV worked isn't the most glowing review, but there's not much more to say. You have to adjust your expectations by what you're willing to pay, and having had ample travel experience I'd say that this establishment is firmly middle of the road, which was quite fine for my needs.
“You get what you pay for”
The price and wireless internet was great and the layout of the room was fine. What really bothered me was the stains on the bedspread comforter. There was a bit of an odor in the room too. It could have been cleaner.
“Never Again!”
This was my first time using Expedia for a hotel and this hotel was by far the worest hotel I have ever stayed in (I have travel the world). When I arrived to the hotel and entered the main lobby, it smelled like smoke and the check in clerk was not rude but not very personable either. My original room request was for a double bed but I was put in a single bed room and was told I have to pay an additional fee to upgrade (which I decline, seeing I had requested a double in the first place). Second, when I entered my room and checked the bed sheets, I found hairs (not my hair) and stain in the bed which told me the sheet were not cleaned. I guess you get what you pay for (cheap price = cheap hotel)!! Stay away.
“not impressed”
No toilet paper and the coffee pot had mold in it!
“uh thats a no...this is a hell-tel instead of a hotel”
Pretty sure there were chalk outlines of bug residue on the walls, and the flickering lights in the hallway would have been perfect for a horror movie, which by the way I was not shooting. I will never stay at a Super 8 ever again...lesson learned...don't be fooled by the pictures.
