"Quiet and private despite being an enormous resort"
We stayed during shoulder season in the Elegance Club which may be part of the reason why it seemed so quiet and peaceful. There was never a lack of chairs or Bali beds in the club pool areas, even if we came down late. We never had to wait more than 2 minutes for drinks either. Our butler, Erickson, was THE BEST. Four of us arrived before my parents and he made sure that they got a nice room by the beach, there was no alcohol put in their room and that he would be taking care of them during their stay as well. It seemed that no matter where we were; bars, different pools, in the hallway, we were constantly running in to him. It was never hard to find something to eat. The breakfast buffets are basically all the same no matter which one you go to. Lunch at Italian was better then the dinner we thought. Steak restaurant was our favorite dinner by far but our best dinner entertainment was at the Japanese place. After our tappanyaki dinner we were called over by the bartender Angel. He made us a variety of drinks, sang to us, proposed marriage to my daughter, and took pictures with us. He and Ruddy had us in stitches for over an hour. The service at the French restaurant was terrible. They never refilled our wine or came back to check on us after meals were delivered. Lastly, a shout out to Bebe with the Funjestic (?) entertainment. She was so full of energy and seemed to be involved in every fun activity with a smile on her face. She is a true winner.

"Big Resort with plety to do!"
The resort has plenty to do on site so there's no reason to leave. They offer resort credits during your stay but you still have to pay 20% of the fee. $750 seems like a lot in resort credits but is really only enough for a couples massage. Don't fall for taking a tour of their facility in order to sell you a package deal, it will take up over 2 hours of your morning.

"Worth the trip"
The resort was beautiful... Positives... 1) Rooms clean and spacious 2) Lots of restaurants on site 3) Staff was fun and friendly 4) The flowers and trees are so beautiful, the resort is totally worth exploring. 5) There are quite a few excursions that cater to all different interests. Negatives... 1) Beach area has a lot of seaweed 2) Restaurants require reservations and they are hard to get...the quantity of food was enormous, but the quality was only okay. 3) For Parents....The guests were a mix, but favored the college crowd with a lot of drinking, little clothing and a lot of public displays of affection (not the PG kind) Other notes...the excursions are fun, especially swimming with the Dolphins at Dolphin Island. However choose wisely what company you go with, there is a vast difference in the quality of the excursion depending on the company.

"Nice hotel, good vacation, relaxing"
Hotel was very nice. Our room did have some details that require some maintenance (shower door hinges particularly), however nothing too concerning. Hotel is VERY big, if you include all four areas (Bavaro, Punta Cana, Palace & Turquesa), each with it's own restaurants, bars & pools. All accessible by mini-train (Disney-ish style). We enjoyed all the pools and buffet restaurants (surprisingly good food), however some a la carte restaurants were too busy. Tip: be at these restaurants way before 6pm. Staff was very friendly, we were always greeted nicely, even by maintenance staff. Disco was very entertaining. Sports bar could have been better. Beware of some pushy souvenir sellers around the pool areas some days of the week (they do not take No for an answer). Overall we enjoyed this hotel and would definately stay again when we travel back to Punta Cana.

"Beautiful facility!"
Can't beat Punta Cana/Bavaro area. Beautiful beach. The Royal Suites Turquesa Adults-only rooms are amazing. I've stayed in a lot of different resorts, and this had the best room (we chose swim-up) by far. Food was disappointing at the Turquesa, but was great at the rest of the Palladium. Over the years going to the Dominican, I see them abandoning more of their traditional food and trying to please the other cultures. But honestly, the best food we had was an excursion to Saona island (a must see) where we had grilled fish and chicken with rice and beans. The Turquesa in June was low key. No social director, and not much happening at night for a 30-something crowd. Disco at the Palladium was disappointing. If you are wanting a quieter trip, spend time with your significant other, go here. If you want a younger, more social experience, this may not be for you. If you're from the U.S., get used to the food not being like it is at home. You're in another country... It was tough getting around, golf carts everywhere, but they'd only stop if you stepped out in front of them. Palladium is so big it takes awhile to go anywhere. Still a beautiful place.

"Wonderful Vacation"
My husband and I just returned from 2 weeks at the Punta Cana Princess-Adults Only resort. We had an amazing trip. The adults only side is pretty small so it doesn't matter where your room is because everything is so close by. You can take the train to the family resort side if you want and it was a short 5 minute ride or a quick walk too. The staff was amazing-particularly the Animation team. The Animation team is great at getting people involved in activities at the beach, pool, and evening shows. They made the trip for us. There was a pool party one day we were there and it was a blast! I've read many reviews saying it wasn't good for groups but we had 2 friends down for 10 of the days we were there and met many other groups and it worked out great. All of the staff we came across was friendly-even the maids were singing while cleaning. The food was good. Don't need to make reservations at the adults only side but you do need reservations if you want to eat at the restaurants on the other side but it was easy to do at guest service desk in the lobby. I've been to Punta Cana 5 times now at 5 different resorts and no longer feel the need to try any other resorts-this place was amazing.

"Perfect hotel with a great view "
I had a perfect time in and around the resort/hotel. The rooms are with central air, so it was so really comfortable and very clean. Everybody that worked there was so friendly, and if I had a problem, the workers would take care of it in seconds.

    Bavaro Hotels: When to Go

Because the Dominican Republic enjoys a tropical climate, there’s no bad time to visit the hotels in Punta Cana Bavaro Beach. Bear in mind, however, that each season comes with a slight temperature difference, and some travellers may find certain times of year more comfortable than others. April to November marks the warmest season, and the humidity is usually a touch higher during this period. December to March, on the hand, are cool and dry enough that sun-worshipping tourists can stay out all day. Plus, the threat of storms is less dominant; though Bavaro hotels in Punta Cana infrequently get slammed with treacherous weather, the likelihood that you’ll experience few downpours increases between June and October.
