“A convenient location for tourist hotel”
The management of Pratts Hotel really needs to do something to get rid of the flies in the bedrooms. There were seven flies in the bedroom the first evening, and four the next night. Also, the noise of the seagulls calling from the roof tops was very disturbing at night, from 1:00 AM to 5:30 AM. The bathroom was very clean - thank you.
“Comfort and Great Location”
I had just spent a week in London in a basement, shared bath b&b - very cheap and dingy but passable if you're out all day. When I saw my room at Pratt's I almost cried for joy - a big clean comfy bed with good pillows, and a huge bathtub in my own large, private bath. The windows looked out over rooftops, with a glimpse of Bath Abbey - perhaps not everyone would find this as picturesque as I did - the seagulls were loud but I was very content. I would stay here again without question. The location was great - only a couple of blocks from the train station and ten minutes walk from all the sights. The only drawback was the additional cost of wi-fi.
“Pratt's Hotel was a great experience”
This hotel is so conveniently located - 5 min. walk from the train station, 4 min walk from the city center. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and I loved the decor - I don't come to England for super-modern decor. I was delighted.
“Great location, friendly hotel”
This hotel is an attractive period building in a great location. The rooms aren't huge but are adequate and well worth it for the convenience. The breakfast was great and the staff very friendly. Would recommend.
“Would stay here again”
We are very happy to have been able to stay in the centre of Bath at Pratts. The stafff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was having to pay to park the car since there is no parking available in the area. We travelled and stayed in many other cities and did not have this problem.
“authentic georgian house hotel”
a wonderfully atmospheric and friendly hotel set in a beautiful georgian square in town centre. tables outside for drinks overlooking the splendid church that dominates the square. very friendly service and a decent breakfast in lovely dining room. a great find.
“A touch of old elegance”
The hotel is tired and in need of a makeover. The furniture in the bedrooms and elsewhere is scratched and marked. The cleanliness of the bedroom was good, the bathroom left a lot to be desired (the outside of the lavatory pan was not cleaned for 5 days). This however was made up for by the friendliness and expert attention of the staff. We received nothing but consideration whilst we were there, in particular from the Manager.

I was traveling through Bath to match up w/ my family in Wales. I had flown in from US and was able to get a Convenient bus from Heathrow to Bath. The fact that the Pratt was walking distance from Bus/Train Station & located in town made it a great place to catch up on sleep/refresh and walk around a bit. The hotel is a little "worn" but was just what I was looking for!
“Strengths and weeknesses of Pratts Hotel, Bath.”
My room was very good, but the public rooms and entrance area looked as if some updating and care about fittings would be an improvement. Whilst comfortable chairs were available in the sitting rooms, they looked more appropriate for a nursing home and the patterns fought with the patterned carpets.The breakfast was excellent. I was in room 2006; there was a huge water wastage before hot water reached my room for a wash or shower; perhaps a pump would rectify this, as in these days of increased environment awareness, we should not be wasting water in this way. You may, however, have a water harvesting facility that I know nothing about, or are using 'brown water' for loo flushing etc..

The hotel is being refurbished which gives it a tardy appearance. Taking this into account the service, price and location were excellent. Will certainly use this hotel again.
