“Lovely stay”
Very central, good room ,nice bathroom good value and lovely breakfast.
“The Abbey Hotel - Excellent”
The hotel exceeded our expectaions the service was excellent as was the quality of the food at breakfast and dinner.
“Location, location, location”
The Abbey Hotel is ideally located just a few steps away from the Abbey and the Roman Baths. Our room, facing the courtyard, was very comfortable and quiet and the staff very obliging. Our son-in-law and granddaughter stayed there the week before us and our daughter, a few days later; and all were pleased. It can be noisy when the pubs close of an evening, I'm told, but that's just part of all the activity going on in the nearby plazas. Bath is sheer joy..
“Would go back”
Hotel ideally situated for all amenities. Car parking could be a problem. Staff friendly but young staff would benefit from further training i.e. hot breakfast brought to table when guests were still eating cereal.Room very comfortable but due to a number of stairs and narrow corridors would not be suitable for wheelchair users. There was a problem with the central heating whilst we were staying in the hotel. This was dealt with very well.We found the hotel dinner menu limited but there are many restaurants nearby. Sporting venue close by.Overall very good.
“Fantastic Location”
The hotel is probably one of the best I have ever stayed at as far as the location is concerned. It is central to all the local attractions and Bath is such a beautiful City. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We dined in the hotel on the first night and the food was very nice and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
“Abbey Hotel ideally situated for the Abbey Church”
The Abbey Hotel is ideally situated in North Parade within a few minutes walk of the Abbey, the Pump Rooms and all the other many attractions of the city. The hotel staff are very attentive and the rooms clean and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel which was great as we could watch the Olympics on the laptop when there was no TV coverage. We ate in the hotel Restaurant for our Saturday evening meal as there was no "special" (read expensive) menu for Valentine's weekend which was also very welcome. So much so that we had four non resident guests join us which the hotel was very happy to cater for. The Full English Breakfast was possibly on the slightly expensive side on a Room Only basis (B&B not available for this hotel thru Expedia) but was pleasant in a light airy Dining Room looking out onto North Parade. City Bus tours stop right outside the hotel entrance. Bath Station is but 5 minutes walk away but a word of warning if driving – do not go through the city centre - it's a nightmare and took us an hour to navigate and find parking, which is not easy on a Saturday. The hotel comes highly recommended.
“Would Definitely Go Back”
This hotel was the best hotel we stayed in while doing a tour of the UK. It was extremely clean and well taken care of. Great location, within a 100 yards of the Roman Baths. A little pricey, but well worth it.
“Great place to stay”
The location of the hotel is excellent, near the Abbey, town and the train station. The room was very spacious and comfortable.
“Romantic English Setting”
The people were great,we recommend the Hop on Hop off bus,to get a feel of the village. Took the Great Western Train from Paddington station, a 5 min. cab ride to our hotel. Enjoyed the Roman Baths very much.
“Great hotel, great location!”
This hotel was convenient to everything and included an excellent breakfast- continental or from the menu. We requested and were given a quiet room off the street. A bonus was that the room was spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful.
