Great, affordable hotel near Nagoya!
Goodway Hotel is extremely affordable! Plus it's less than 5 mins away from Nagoya by car! The hotel has facilities like swimming pool, jacuzzi, wine bar with a pool table, and all are great! Breakfast buffet is also amazing. Thank you Expedia!!

Nightmare
It was such a terrible hotel, the aircon was not working and there was nobody around, pub is closed, ants were everywhere in the hotel, no cancellation allowed thus we were stuck there for two nights, street around the area was unsafe, worst toilet ever and i dont EVER want to step into this hotel ever again. On a side note deposit at 300k rupiah was ridiculous for such quality.

Front office staff are pleasant. The restaurant staff are rude We asked for an omelette. It took atleast 30 mins and repeated requests to get one.

Very rundown condition. Corridor to room smells bad, mattress soft and sagging causing back ache, air conditioner not cold despite setting to 15deg C.breakfast ok.

I think the cleanliness of the toilet has dropped over the years. Discolored bath towels and only I tooth brush was given for double occupancy, need to ask to additional tooth brush.

Decent and convenient
The hotel is decent, generally clean and hotel staffs are nice and helpful. However the pool and jacuzzi are not that clean, the sauna and steam room are okay. The room only provided one set of toiletries when there were 2 of us. When they make up room, towels were not changed though. Overall this hotel is good enough for the price. It is only about 5-8mins walk to Nagoya hill mall.

Room was big but definitely a big difference compared to picture. The conditions of the room is probably 40/100 that’s what u can say. Bathtub has many black stain...hmm well overall the hotel buffet was great! Buffet was 80/100!

Old hotel in Nagoya area
Hotel is indeed old. Running water was rusty and too yellow that we needed to transfer rooms.But all the staff in this hotel are great. Food here is also good and it's walking distance to Nagoya hill shopping center. Pubs are also just across the street

Disappointed with the room given n Porter service
We had booked the hotel one month in advance and when we arrive, we were given a room which has a window that is facing a wall. When we were going to check out we had called for the Potter to help us with our bags. We left him with the handling of the bags. Board the cab with the samexamination Porter helping loading the bags and not realising anything wrong with one of the bags. Once we alight from the taxi we notice that the handle of the bag was broken. The Porter didn't even tell us that he had broke the handle of the bag while handling the bags.

"Goodway but its really a Badway"
Hotel is very old and everywhere creaked and broken, missing toiletries, smelly refrigerator, missing min bar, additional water bottle charged eight times normal price, stain and unhygienic towels, kids deep soaking bath tub, late check in not allowed, mattress are old and broken from bottom, buffet breakfast but nothing you will find after 9am and not good at all, broken toilet doors, only the thing some staff are ok and location is good. Overall its cheaper and not equivalent to single star hotel… I will neither stay anymore or recommend any one to stay in Goodway, I will recommend to stay in Da Vienna Boutique Hotel, Grand I Hotel, Allium Hotel, Nagoya Hill Hotel.

i was so dissapointed that i book a room n i be charged for 2 children n yet wen im asking the staff they say that breakfast only for 2, i paid 39 + , if i noe i jus take another room cost me $45 n get 2 breakfast n yet they say that they cnt gv for my children breakfast.The staff are not frendly show no smiling face even met other staff they dnt even wish the tenant gud moning or afternoon. the breakfast was the worst i experience, only few dish hv no choice jus eat.I hope the hotel can do something abt customer service n the room cleaniness n breakfast. i dnt tink so i wil sty the hotel anymore.Bad experience.

Hotel is looking tired. The bathroom was small, and there many chips on the bath area. The shower curtain over the bath was far too long, and consequently very grubby and dirty at the bottom. Basically disappointed, obviously why the place is so cheap.

Goodway Staycation
Staff at The Goodway are pleasant enough. The hotel is looking very tired. I stayed in a junior suites, with a small bathroom that needs ripping out and replacing. For example, bath was chipped in several places, when using the sink taps, water splashed everywhere. The shower curtain was way too long for the bath, ergo showering was not a pleasant experience. Overall the ace is shabby, but it is cheap, so for a one night error where a you are going to do is play golf, go to the local bars it is adequate enough. But any longer than 2 days would be a nightmare.

OK but lost its former glory
There are a few hotels like this in the location in the same price bracket (others are (too) much cheaper). Some of the other hotels in this bracket have been renovated and are much the better for it. Since they were all full I booked this one. It is adequate and I would go there again but only if the other hotels were full. It is old, very tired and in need of renovation. It should not be commanding the very high price that it does. You could easily identify many areas to make negative comments about (toilets cracked, bath chipped, paper thin bath towels etc.) and many will. Overall though, it was clean and did the job

From the moment we entered the hotel till we depart,everything was average.No greetings from bell nor reception. Upon arriving into our rooms,room was clean and neat but lighting failure made the whole experience worse. It was already night when we arrive and it took them another 1hour for the technician staff to fix the wall light as they claim they had no spare. We waited in the room of darkness but to my thinking,why can't they just give me another room instead? Just poor judgment from hotel staff knowing the room has lighting failure but still proceed to give us the room. One other thing is their info email had no one attending to it,I've email my request on their info email weeks before my stay but no one actually get back to me.

Nothing good about this hotel.
Travelled on 5th Dec for 2D1N, couple stay. First off, front desk staffs unfriendly. Requested for a smoking room, which I was expecting the room ordour to have a very strong smell of smoke but I was wrong, smell was ok in the room. Got king size bed, which u can tell it feels very old. Bathroom is terrible. Dirty bathtub, taps/shower head runs very little amount of water which is annoying! Ok, I read many negative reviews especially on the air conditioning - which is super right and I don't wish to go on abt this issue. And lastly, breakfast was horrible. Not that I wasn't thankful to have food on the table, but it was just disappointing. Not much of choices, had only slices of bread and left. Hotel is near to Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre, 5 mins drive but cost IDR 50k. Also, roughly 10mins drive to BCS Mall which cost IDR 60k. Despite the negative reviews read, I thought to give it a shot and go ahead with the booking. But sorry I will never return as they is nothing good there that makes me want to come back for another stay.

Run-down but still good value more a short stay
This place really needs a facelift. Rooms are fairly clean but you cannot help but notice the old & run down furniture. And the mattresses have lost their bounce (sagging in some parts). And can someone PLEASE look into the numbering of rooms! It's only 3 floors but seriously, the order needs to be looked at. Not much variety at breakfast. Checking out was a bit of a hassle as only 2 staff on duty. Requiring a deposit during check-in certainly did not help the situation as lot of time spent recounting the amount (especially the guests)
