"Great hotel in a great location"
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. The only downside would be the size of the room. We were in the joker room and it was a little small, it was fine for us as we aren't big people but for some it may be a bit of a squeeze. Aside from that the hotel was great, the staff were fantastic and really accommodating. All spoke perfect English which was handy. The area was great too. Although advertised as Marais the hotel is almost in Bastille which has loads of little streets to wander with plenty of bars and cafes. It's walking distance to lots of attractions, long walks but interesting ones. We walked to Notre Dame and the Pompidou Centre in less than half an hour. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Good for a short stay in Paris. Ideal if you're catching a flight to somewhere the next day. A bit far from the usual touristy place in Paris.

Located in a quiet street but within the main area around Republique. Ideal for access to the Metro network and variety of restaurants, staff helpful and give useful advice and very friendly. Rooms spotless and well maintained. Breakfast ample and always replenished. Close to Ave de Republique and Saint Martin Canal. Can recommend French bistros: Le Chemise, Pharmacie and Astier for traditional French fayre plus Italian Pizza Pino for excellent homemade pasta and pizza

"Nice hotel near shopping"
Easy check in, although we did forget to call ahead for our reference number. Luckily a staff member was able to quickly find this for us. The room was clean and spacious. Iron on our floor did not work unfortunately. The amenities on the first floor were great - croissants in the morning (get there before 8am!), vending machines, and large lockers to store luggage if you need after check-out. Location was great, close to shopping, restaurants, transit, and not too far from Grand Place, etc.

It was a great hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were so imaginatively decorated that they made staying there a treat. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking to stay in Paris.

"Superb hotel in fascinating area."
An attractive entrance and foyer, in which we were met by courteous, efficient and friendly (but not obsequious) reception staff. Those initial positive feelings were enhanced when we were informed we had been given a free room upgrade. Everything combined to make a memorable visit even more memorable. I have already recommended the hotel to several friends who also visit Paris regularly. I do not usually deal in superlatives, but on this occasion nothing could have been better, even the weather. We will stay there again, before too long I hope.

"Excellent little family-run hotel"
I've been to Paris on numerous occasions and rarely come across a hotel that was actually any good. This one is close to a Metro station (just a few minutes walk away), situated on a nice, clean, quiet road (which is a miracle in Paris), and the staff were all truly wonderful. I requested a kettle for my non-special room for my mother (who needs hot water for her medication) and found everything waiting in the room for us. Yes, the rooms are on the smaller-than-a-luxury-hotel-room side but they're clean, comfortable, and the decor is lovely too. We were given a room on the fourth floor looking out onto a massive oak - loved that we could open the window-door fully and lean out over the mini balcony. It also has the best patisserie next door - where freshly baked croissants, cakes and breads were the most delicious (and cheapest!) in town.

"Nice clean hotel with convenient transit"
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Metallos. The room and shower were both very small but we knew that before we booked it. Everything was very clean. The staff was friendly. The adapter that we brought with us was the wrong kind and the staff directed us to a nearby flea market where we were able to pick up an adapter for only a couple of Euros. On one of our last nights there we tried one of the hotel-recommended restaurants and it was probably the best meal we had on our entire trip. The neighborhood is nice and felt safe even at night. The metro stop is only about 2 blocks away and there are several vendors nearby where you can buy your ticket booklets.

A hotel near the Bastille or République Métro stations will give you access to some of the best sights in Paris.

Upon exiting the Bastille station, you’re within walking distance of a number of Paris’ most famous landmarks. If you’re ready to gasp in astonishment, cross the Seine to the Ile de la Cité and take in the stunning Gothic architecture of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. This extraordinary building, completed in 1345, is both a remarkable piece of construction and a testament to faith. Also located on the Ile de la Cité is Sainte-Chapelle, a Gothic chapel featuring walls of stained glass, some of it dating back to the 13th century.

Take in additional history when you return to the “mainland” and visit the Place de la Bastille. This square once held the Bastille—the city’s famous prison—and now it holds the Colonne de Juillet, a monument to the July Revolution of 1830. The Place de Bastille has developed into one of the city’s premiere areas of nightlife, full of pubs, cafes, and concert halls. This is the place to dance the night away or stuff your face with some of the most delicious baked goods you’ll ever taste.

You’ll want to enjoy this nightlife without worrying about your wallet, so book your trip to France through We’ll get you our Best Price Guarantee on our numerous hotels in Paris, leaving you with more money to spend on croissants in the Place de la Bastille instead of on accommodation. Go ahead, buy another pastry. You’re in Paris!
