Bike trip
Great spot in a lively town much more civilised than the nearer bigger places…. Fantastic underground car park for the bikes.

Very clean. Managers were helpful. Little touches of character. I would've appreciated a room safe. The hotel is on the fringes of the cutest parts of town, short walk.

Central location, nice terrace for tenants within hotel, rooms themed nicely, staff very accommodating. Walls are thin, could hear other guests and cleaners.

Told to move out or dogs sleep in the car
I booked the hotel few months ago. I made sure the hotel was dog friendly. Got email confirming they will accept our 2 dogs. Arrived to the hotel and checked in. Spent about 5 minutes in the room and went to explore the town. Few minutes later I got the phone call from the owner. She went to out room (!!!). And decided the room smelled bad so she gave us the choice to move out or to leave the dogs in the car. They are big dogs. But they are clean and we stay in hotels regularly with them. The hotel the night before, or the new hotel we found had no issues with them. There is no way the room could have smelled after the dogs spent 5 minutes in there. Nor did the owner had a right to go to check the room. When we complained she said it was her hotel so she could do whatever she wanted. Now we are trying to get the money we paid refunded. So if you want to risk the owner not liking you, your dogs, your kids or your smell and kicking you out you can risk booking the place. I would not advice booking it if you travel with a dog. If the person can suggest you keep your dog in the car in the closed garage it is not worth risking staying in her place.

Désolés pour cet incident tout à fait inhabituel mais aucun hotelier n'a intérêt à polémiquer pour une histoire de chiens qui sentent mauvais ; nous comprenons que notre attitude n'ait pas été comprise mais nous n'avions pas d'autre choix ; il n'est peut-être pas utile d'ameuter la terre entière ...parfois il vaut mieux se faire discret !

Lovely bright clean hotel.
The hotel was tastefully furnished, clean and quiet. The breakfasts were simple but tasteful. The hotel is near the tourist information centre, supermarket and a superb indoor food market. It is only a short walk from the beach.

Excellent location, lovely hotel and staff. Only downside is no lift and no help to carry bags up 3 flights of stairs.

Good value hotel, great location
Nice stay at le Petit Trianon. Great staff, enjoyed the breakfast room in the morning. Room was more modern and up-to-date than I was expecting, but a bit small. Still - good value for money - great location, - quiet, despite having a street-side room.

City center Hotel.
Once I managed to get my large car down into the secure car park (tight entrance). All the city's sights and attractions were in easy walking distance. A nice clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. I was last in St-Jean-De Luz over 40 years ago and came for the tuna festival held in July each year.The city although much busier now still keeps it's charm and typical Frenchness. It was my wife's first visit and she was also impressed with the city.

Very basic 2* - friendly helpful staff
The staff at reception were always helpful & friendly & spoke good English. Our 1st floor room looked onto the small courtyard where we self catered for breakfast. The room was clean but very basic, with bare minimum toiletries. Perhaps remove the large old wardrobes in the rooms & replace with clothes racks & small chest of drawers - they take up far too much space in already small room. Great location. Next time I would go for that extra * to a 3 star.

cosy hotel- nice town
anyone who knows St jean knows what a nice place it is,it is the epitome of French style- smart , upmarket ,a little over priced but elegant in a faded turn of the century(19th 0r 20th?) way.Le petit trianon fits that image perectly ,neat, nicely decorated , although a little faded,remember brigitte bardot ,she was a looker in her youth but perhaps not now,but i'd still buy her a drink and chat about the world as it was!Service is polite, slightly formal but helpful,it has a garage,amazing for one of the hardest places in France to find a parking space, and very handy for the centre of this vibrant,charming town,we will stay there again.

Gern wieder!
Alles top, sehr schöne Unterkunft, Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einziger Minuspunkt war der Lärm - wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straßenseite.

Très beau séjour dans un hôtel très accueillant. La place du parking payante est un plus. Un moins : un petit déjeuner inaccessible par son prix 12 euros. Aux alentours possible de déjeuner à 8euros.

Dans l'ensemble, je dirais que mon séjour dans l'hôtel était moyen. Dommage que le sèche cheveux ne soit pas top quand on a de long cheveux. Le petit déjeuner était limite, pas grand chose en salé, (ex : pas oeufs) et pas de fruits frais.

Bonjour, notre petit déjeuner buffet peut ne pas correspondre à votre attente ( descriptif détaillé affiché dans l'hôtel) mais je ne comprends pas que dans ce cas vous l'ayez pris les deux matins puisqu'il est toujours en option. Concernant le sèche cheveux, si vous nous en aviez parlé à la réception, nous vous aurions mis en à disposition ... Cordialement Christine

Bon hôtel, très central, accueil très sympathique, petite cour intérieure calme. L'hôtel donne sur un boulevard bruyant, ce qui est peut être gênant si vous avez le sommeil fragile

Merci pour votre avis . La terrasse au calme est très appréciée pour prendre le petit déjeuner . Le bruit en centre ville est malheureusement fréquent malgré le double vitrage mais les nuits à St Jean de Luz sont paisibles en général.
