Nice hotel in convenient location offering good value. Excellent staff on front desk. Didn't like the beat music from the nightclub just across the river, surely there must be planning regulations against it. Probably not so bad in summer when foliage on the trees.

Great place to stay in Bayonne with wonderful staf
Lovely hotel in a good location for walking around the town. The room was spacious and clean. Room and hallway smelled fresh. We had a small issue with leaking from the ceiling near the air conditioning unit. We reported this to the front desk and it was resolved later that day. The bed was very comfortable. I would have preferred a double bed over two singles pushed together but otherwise very nice room. The bathroom was clean and the shower was decent size with a nice little shelf to hold items. Parking was convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful and multilingual. The breakfast buffet was very good, staff cleaned tables between customers and replenished items regularly. There was a big rugby event on the first night we stayed here. We were very appreciative that the hotel posted security in the car park due to the large crowds and ensured our safety.

A lovely hotel only a short walk from the centre of Bayonne. The room was very comfortable. The pool was not open during our midweek stay (August)

Hôtel is nice but a bit all... Heated swimming pool (28°c). Bed is confortable... I didn't take breakfast so I can't tell you if it is good food but high price breakfast (15€ per person)

Nice, but not a 4 star hotel
Well located hotel walking distance to all the sites in Bayonne. We had a comfort room with a double bed and a sofa bed that was spacious, although very basic. I would say it is a good enough place, just not a 4 star hotel.

I reserved a room with a view to the river and they gave me a room with a view to the main entrance. The bedroom does not correspond to/with the stars of the hotel. Breakfast was too expensive (€15 per person) when there are amenities around, where you can eat for 2-3 people for less than that. The big surprise in the end was when you pay the local tax which was €51, which was more expensive than the room itself (€49 for a room for 2 people).

Hairy stay at Le Bayonne
Good location, they have a separate parking, room was fine however the shower and toilet was very small. The most bothering aspect was that the pillow cases seemed used and were full of hair not belonging to us. Breakfast seemed pricey , so we didn't take it.

The Human Touch.
After a howling storm and a cancelled ferry The manager here agreed to ignore, "company policy" and slide my reservation back a couple of days. As a previous hotelier myself I know how the human touch reflects on guests and this cheered me up. I've reviewed the hotel before and nothing has changed. Modern well managed hotel in a super convenient spot with a secure car park. Ideal business stop over hotel which I shall continue to use.

Pleasant Business Hotel
We were travelling back from Portugal and Bayonne was one of the stops on our journey. The room and staff were very pleasant and the hotel served our purpose of providing a clean room, a comfortable bed and a palatable breakfast, before continuing our journey.

Not a four star expereince
I accept I booked a double bed, basic room. However as a four star hotel I would expect some things being basic to what that means! The room was miniscule - so much so that the double bed was just a standard British size double bed - I haven't experienced this in a double room in a hotel for years. In addition there wasn't a bedside table on one side of the bed so nowhere to put bits and pieces for ease of access during the night. This side of the bed was so close to the wardrobe storage space - which had to have a sliding door for access as there was no possibility for an opening door, one had to side step between the bed and the wardrobe to access that side of the bed and to gain access to the bathroom. I would hazard a guess that this room had originally been designated as a single-use room. The bathroom was small and tired and obviously not maintained. It was clean, in the sense of everyday cleanliness, however the seal to the shower was broken and obviously had been for sometime. In addition the seal around the shower base was disintegrating and mouldy in parts - something of a 'put off'. I fully accept basic is basic however I would reiterate in any hotel, regardless of 'stars', there is a basic standard to be achieved and maintained. From the perspective of the quality of the accommodation a very disappointing experience I would not repeat. The staff were lovely and very helpful.
