The hotel was so cute in the little plaza. Our room had a balcony that we loved sitting on to watch people and look out at night and in the morning. We were early to check in and the woman at the front desk was very accommodating, letting us store our bags, change and use the WiFi. She was also very helpful getting us a taxi and helping us get around.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, centrally located and walkable to everything you'd want to do in Biarritz. Room was a bit on the small side but has everything you need, especially for a short stay like ours. Staff was friendly and the rooms were tidy and clean. Would recommend.
Great room, very large and clean. Staff were really friendly and the location couldn’t get better. Overall would definitely recommend staying here

Worthwhile 3* for price and quality
Very good, very friendly and all very clean. The general building and fixtures are a bit tired however, including a very old air con unit without its swing.
Fantastic location near the beach and great restaurants and shopping. The hotel is a bit old and dated, but the room was spacious and clean and had A/C. Staff was very nice and arranged transportation for me.
Room was supposed to be a superior so what a normal double was like I dread to think. No soap or shower gel provided nor was a kettle or hairdryer. How it was classed as a 4* heaven only knows.

Do NOT book at this inferior Hotel .
Old sheets , old towels , peeling paint work ,
Moulding grouting in showers ,
Dirty curtains , horrid mattress , smelly corridors .
Despite a late check-in, our room was not ready. They even gave keys and told it was ready, only to find the beds unmade and room dirty. Turned on the air conditioning smelt like mold. Our courtyard view was really a view of a cement wall with a few artificial plants put on what looked like a possible fire escape. Beds were uncomfortable. Very disappointing. Appeared to be understaffed as many frustrated people waiting in the lobby for their rooms to be ready. For the money poor value, Although location to the beach was good.
Great location but old hotel with cheap renovations. Wasbasin had a crack, matresa was covered in plastic which made a noise everytime I moved and made it very hot, old and VERY mois aircon. So all in all - not a great stay...

Great location
Fantastic location, right in the historic centre of town moments away from everything.
Unfortunately very poor sound insulation between rooms you can hear absolutely everything from anointing rooms.

Tiny lodgings
This is a relatively modern hotel located in a pedestrian precinct several hundred metres walk from the beach. Contrary to their published check in time, our room was not ready until 4.00 PM. Whilst the facilities were relatively modern and clean, the room itself (a standard double), was tiny! Our bed was rammed right up against a wall along two sides therefore making access difficult for the one who drew the ‘short straw’. The bathroom was clean but similarly compact in size. There was insufficient storage space for luggage. The hotel was okay for one night, but I’d certainly be looking for something a little more comfortable if I was staying in Biarritz for an extended period.
WARNING: this hotel runs a SCAM. Rooms have NO VIEW that face a wall only a few feet away from the window. TERRIBLE FISH SMELL from the restaurant below. EXTRA FEES for children at checkout even though child was paid for upfront at time of booking on Expedia. SMALL ROOMS with URINE SMELL. NOISY ROOMS from hallway traffic. PHOTOS MISREPRESENT the actual poor conditions of the hotel. DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE.

Have been using this hotel for 5-6 years and always try to book an apartment not a hotel room.
The apartment in general was ok as always - bit of dirt in the shower grout (being picky). But the fridge stank! It was a strong fishy smell - even with me cleaning it, the odour remained and the veg tray was full of water when we got there.
The hotel corridors also have an odour, but that may be due to the restaurants below and so unavoidable.
Staff as always polite and helpful and took over in English when my French failed.
Great location near the water. Very clean room. Helpful staff too. The room and bathroom were very small . We stayed 2 nights which was ok but not for a longer time. Our bathroom was very clean however there was an odour in there from pipes? So we had to keep the door closed the whole time.

Room was nothing like the advertised room. Little bit of a “bait and switch.”
Have stayed here many times in the last 20 years.. most of the standard rooms are quiet small but have little balconies that look over a beautiful square and the sea at an angle !
No real traffic noise as not directly on a road.. great people watching .. always a pleasure 🤗
Very convenient location: beach, promenade, restaurants, food market, parking. Very good and quite AC. Have fully equipped apartment with quite street view.
We had a tiny dark room with only one working bulb (we reported it but they never came to replace it). It was right next to the stairs so also noisy as there is the tiniest lift not big enough for 2 people and bags which you have to wait for 10 mins in the in unairconditioned stuffy, smelly hallway while the other guests go down to check out on by one. Eventually we had to give up waiting for the lift & struggle with our cases down the staircase, which also smell like cats wee. The lobby also was hot and even though we prepaid we had to wait to pay the tax before we could leave. Why not add it to the room fee we paid the night before? The room was not cheap, do yourself a favour & stay elsewhere!

Great location but small rooms & not 4 star
Location – a great central location between the beaches La Grand Plage and Côte des Basques. L'Eglise Sainte-Eugene is just a few buildings away and Rocher de la Vierge is within walking distance as are the main shops.
Rooms – we stayed in a double room with a city view although we actually looked out to the side of the hotel onto a set of stairs but I guess you can see the main square if you look round the corner! The room felt very small and my husband kept banging his arm or leg on something particularly in the bathroom. It had the main essentials; tv, aircon, fridge, kettle with some tea/coffee sachets, safe and a radio/docking station for an iPhone 4 yet felt basic so we didn't want to spend anytime in there! The rooms at the front with a balcony looked nicer than ours.
Facilities - free wifi. Parking is in the public car park which has an entrance opposite or near the main road by the beach; I say that because we could never figure out how to drive to the one outside due to the crazy one way system! Parking is €16 for over 10 hours but cheaper than the meter parking on the roads.
Meals – breakfast is €15 each which seemed expensive so we didn't try it. There's a restaurant next door but there are lots within walking distance so we chose to eat at Le Surfing and Bar B2 which were both lovely.
Style – pretty standard hotel with no real specific style. There is a lift although it only fits about 2 people or 1 with luggage!

Good location but not a 4* hotel
First time in Biarritz. So lucky with the weather. A beautiful place when the sun is out. Location of the hotel was great, only feet away from the sea. The views from the balcony were excellent. Amazing sunset seen from a couple of hundred yards away on first night. The decor in the lobby was good but in the room itself it was far more basic than expected. Definitely not a 4* hotel and probably not a 3*. There was a fridge and a kettle for tea and coffee. Had breakfast one of the mornings and it was very disappointing. Scrambled egg that did not taste of egg, There was a basin with hot water to boil eggs but after 8 mins the egg was not even cooked and ran all over the plate. It cost 15 euros but for half that you can get a good breakfast in a nearby restaurant. I would give it a miss. Waiter was very rude when we complained. The receptionist only charged for one breakfast when we complained to her.
Terrible experience. Misrepresented on Expedia sit
Will be pursuing more formally with Expedia in the next few days
Having seen that the room was totally unacceptable left immediately and rebooked through Expedia for the same two nights down the street in the Hotel Mercure which was great. Hotel had taken the whole cost for the two nights through my credit card 10 days before. Will be seeking a complete refund for the two nights ($393). Will be recommending that Expedia remove this operation from their site.

Hotel was in a lovely position
Hotel was in a lovely position with great views and very convenient for the town's amenities. We were a little disappointed that we had emailed to ask before we arrived if we could have a top floor room, and although the hotel acknowledged this request and made no promises we found we were allocated a first floor room.
We noitced the smoke alarm in the room had been taped over, but as we had an easy escape route being on the first floor this did not trouble us - not sure about the other rooms on the higher floors?
I had a great time! The front desk was super helpful, the other staff were also very helpfull.
The breakfast was the first time I had eggs done well in my trip to Europe, so that meant a lot.
A+ in my book
Great hotel, the location was spot on, right in the centre of Biarritz. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and tidy. We'll definitely stay here again when we visit Biarritz.

A night in biarritz
Can't believe this is a 4*hotel. Needs a refit and replan. Room was clean and spacious but I doubt if air on suffice to on warm day. Difficult to read with lighting provided. However staff were nice and room spotless. Disappointed by view: there was none and position was not on sea front as advertised.
The staff were very friendly and the view from the room stunning. The rooms were a bit on the snug side but at the price understandable so. Car parking was in an underground public garage right under the square in front of the hotel. Which concerned us a bit because of carrying two bikes on the back. Also costly for the stay although the receptionist said we could get residents parking by contacting the attendant. He was not available when we left so we paid the full price. The worst thing about our stay was some very noisy young Russian people who woke us at midnight and again at 4.30am. Not the hotels fault but nevertheless made for a very poor nights sleep.

Hard as nails!
Clean comfortable hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Well located and very convenient to beach and all amenities. Lift a bit claustrophobic and the beds were seriously as hard as nails.
