Restaurant Grill25 the one & only “Urban Grillroom” in Basel. We are a young and dynamic team and will provide you an evening in an uncomplicated, modern atmosphere combined with competent and heartfelt service.

We serve you a perfect steak that you can enjoy with a nice glass of red wine and you can also get an ordinary burger with your well deserved evening beer. Also poultry lovers and vegetarians will get their money’s worth. Highest quality of ingredients and fresh products guarantee a natural flavour experience – all dishes, every dip and each side are home-made, convenience food will not be served on principle. In terms of meat we decided in favour of Black Angus Beef from responsible rearing while we mind the internal Ocean Wise certificate when buying fish. Cooperating with local and regional vendors we will adapt our menu to the four seasons accordingly. On the wine list you will be able to find the traditional wines from Europe and also some specialities from the new world. Our specialty is the wide range of wines by the glass.

“Un hôtel baby friendly, très pratique d'accès, avec un buffet délicieux”

l'hotel est super même avec un bébé : chambre spacieuse, avec un lit à barreau avec un bon matelas et des peluches musicales pour les bébés. L'hotel n'est pas dans le centre historique mais les tramways sont directs et gratuits pour se rendre à la fois dans la vieille ville (5 min) et la fondation beyeler (15 min). Nous avons trouvé cette adresse pratique et confortable.

“Great value luxury weekend break”

Although this is a typical business hotel in terms of style and location, I'd seriously recommend it for a weekend break as its prices plummet. Even though it's not bang central it has a tram stop just outside from which the super efficient trams whisk you to the main station and the centre of town in five minutes and to the fabulous Beyeler Fondation in about fifteen. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the room a decent size, great bathroom and best of all, a Lavazza espresso maker to satisfy an early morning caffeine craving!

“Excellent hotel.”

THE HOTEL WAS SUPERB IN ALL RESPECTS FROM THE MOMENT WE CHECKED IN TO THE TIME WE LEFT IT, 3 DAYS LATER. IT IS CENTRALLY AND WELL LOCATED FOR WALKING, OR, TRAM SERVICE. A NUMBER OF THESE STOP RIGHT BY THE HOTEL ENTRANCE. THE HOTEL ISSUES YOU FREE TRANSPORTATION PASSES FOR THE DURATION OF ONE'S STAY AND THESE ARE GOOD ON ALL TRAMS AND BUSES. THE SECURITY SYSTEM IS GOOD AS ONE CAN ONLY ACCESS THE FLOORS VIA THE ELEVATOR IF ONE HAS THE ROOM KEY TO ACTIVATE THE ELEVATORS. ATM MACHINES ARE RIGHT WITHIN THE HOTEL BLOCK, ABOUT 100 YARDS FROM ITS ENTRANCE.

“Above and beyond expectations”

The accommodations were extremely clean and comfortable. The staff, besides being courteous, went above and beyond their "call of duty" to make you feel welcome to a strange country. Our stay was experience we will forever treasure, and we are sorry we did not have the opportunity to stay longer at the Swissotel in Basel. Your country is absolutely beautiful !!

“Great Hotel, Great Location”

The Swissotel was in a great location, very convenient espically with the transportation pass! Lot's of places to eat close by and only a short tram ride (#2) from the central train station. The staff was very helpful.

“Everyone is treated like royalty”

I have just returned from a three night stay at the hotel and I can say this hotel and the entire staff is beyond any expectation of any four or five star hotel. The hotel is gorgeous and there is anything you need on sight. The staff was great and did things to make the stay memorable like mailing my xmas cards so I did not have to take time out at the post office, running down a lost passport and giving great advice on where to go in the city and how to get around. Although not a real tourist town, I would go back to stay at this hotel just for a relaxing weekend.

“Great hotel - would definately stay there again.”

The experience staying at the Swissôtel was excellent. The people were very friendly. The food and bar area was great. The recently renovated steamroom, sauna and exercise area was fantastic!!! The hotel exceeded all expectations.
