“Lovely accomodations”
Diana Dauphine was, overall, a pleasant place to stay, despite the overpowering paint smell in the hallways from room renovation on every floor. However, as long as the room doors were closed, the fumes remained outside, so the transitions from the (very small) lift to the room were the only problem. The toilet room was separate from the bathroom, so it made life much easier in juggling the two necessities. The rooms were very clean and almost sparse in decoration, with fresh white linens and down comforters supplying a sleek look. Our room overlooked the street and the tram system, but the noise level was minimal. The biggest dificulty was leaving the parking area - small turn around space and a tough turn to make to exit. Very nice staff who spoke English quite well and directed us to a great little sandwich shop next door that made wonderful pizza! Would definitely stay here again, but would try to be sure they aren't renovating while there.
“Absolutement fantastique!”
Stayed at this hotel for my 18th birthday and was so impressed. The staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly giving us loads of ideas for things to do, organising transport and directing us to the nearest shopping centre. The hotel is old (I'd guess 1930s, maybe earlier) but the management have used this style to their advantage in the rooms. Breakfast is fab. Will definitely be returning soon!
“Nice experience, convenient location”
Good experience, nice room, convenient to Tram, good breakfast. Recommend.
“Hotel Diana Dauphine à Strasbourg”
Hotel de style contemporain, fonctionnel et très bien entretenu. Petite chambre, mais grande salle de bains avec baignoire. Environnement calme. Petit déjeuner cher, mais en mode buffet à volonté, avec spécialités locales (kougeloff, pains d'épices, ...), oeufs, jambon, jus d'orange, jus de mangue, ...
“Great location for walking the City”
The hotel was very easy to find as you enter the old City, and is a perfect launching pad for a complete walking tour as it is 3 blocks from the Cathedral square.
“Renovating a few floors during our stay, but will be fantastic”
I was actually astonished when I entered the room considering the price...and I would have been astonished anyway. The room was beautifully done. They must have just finished renovations because there was still a new paint smell in the bathroom, and two of the other floors of the hotel were being worked on. It will be fantastic when they are done, although I wouldn't be suprised if the price goes up as well. Excellent location close to two tram stops (although Strasbourg is an incredibly walkable city). Definitely worth it, and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
“à recommander”
décoration très moderne et de bon goût; cela change du faux "style". la proximité du tramway met le centre historique à quelques minutes; enfin l'hotel a un parking, un peu difficile pour les grosses voitures, mais bien commode dans une ville où la voiture n'est pas bien venue.
“Definitely worth a return stay”
Hotel is in a good location, walking distance throughout old Strasbourg. Small hotel, only one person working at the desk, but over three days I dealt with three different people, and each of them were nice and helpful. Hotel has rolladen, window covering that one pulls down, makes it quiet and dark in the room. First day the wireless internet did not work, but next two days it did. Expensive, but that is fault of swisscom, the hotel said they are in the process of switching providers. Room is not full of five star extravagance, but for the price it is very nice, almost boutique hotel.
“j'y retournerai certainement”
C'est un hôtel de style comtemporain. la décoration est sobre mais élégante. Notre chambre était très grande et la salle de bain était séparé des toilettes. Je le recommmande à tous lors d'un séjour à strasbourg car le centre ville n'est pas très loin.
“Great Hotel”
We were very pleased with the standard of this hotel. Our room (a triple) was light, fresh and airy, and the beds were very comfortable. The decor in the bedroom and bathroom was modern and of a high standard. The staff were very helpful in giving us advice for what do to and gave us a map. However, it was quite a long walk from the train station, I'd advise anyone to take a tram instead and find out before hand which line it is. The street isn't particularly pretty but it's not far into centre. All in all it was a lovely place to stay, and as a trio of backpackers we apprecited a comfy hotel for once instead of a dodgy hostel!
